Going first all the time

It seems like I always go first and every one else goes second giving them the advantage. This is very frustrating and I always seem to be playing catch-up. Who ever is creating the algorithm needs to look into this.

First of all going second doesn’t generally give a player an advantage. Sure your deck might get a significant boost from the coin in quest mage or something, but many decks prefer going first for the tempo. It’s probably not a good thing to make your deck super reliant on coin because then you’ll start half your games with a disadvantage.

In regards to your claim that you are always going first, it’s just random chance (unless your game is bugged which is unlikely). How many games did you play?

Out of 10 games I only went second once. Then out of 20 games, I went second 3 times. Now you know my frustration.

Well that is quite a string, but theoretically if you knew you were almost always going first, that would give you a deck building advantage.
But I bet as soon as you try to manipulate this to your advantage, you’ll start going second every game.

You better start playing a zoo/aggro deck then so you profit from it

Going first is good though…

In adventures you always go first.

Going first always gives you an advantage. ALWAYS. The only difference is certain decks gain more advantage than others. If you find yourself always playing from behind, even after starting first, then the problem is a you problem and not a game problem.

In addition that, enjoy it while you can, you are merely getting lucky right now. That will not last. This game trends to around 50%, give or take a few. So eventually you will have your streaks of going second.

My guess? You are really terrible at this game and the algorithm is trying to give you every advantage it possibly can to give you a boost.

You see, some many years ago developers discovered that players play longer when they are winning. So they developed an entire arsenal of tricks and scams to keep people playing.

Nothing is random anymore. Though, the illusion of randomness is still there.
