Its far far faaaaaar past the point that Blizzard takes their responsibility to this community seriously. Your devs are all over social media fighting with your players. The forums are a hot mess where everyone’s at each others throats with the most petty and shallow of fights. Half the topics get responses like “get good” or “you only hate that deck because you lose to it noob”. Those are the nice topics/responses. We also have constant topics about things like the LGBTQ communty topic going on right now that are just toxic as can be and should be shut down within the first hour of being posted. We have people stalking each other here at the forums to harass each other. Just bad behavior all around. And whats Blizzard doing about it really? The occasional modded post and only beacuse enough people in the community flagged it. Which isnt that helpful given the number of toxic people we have here. Its like letting prisoners decide when the warden needs called.
Iv been gaming and on forums for about 30 years. Forums like this one where the developers and mods stay hidden in golden towers always have communities that fight like this and their games always end up the toxic state Hearthstone currently is. it also encourages fanboy behavior and rhetoric that drives people away from the forums and creates an echo chamber for developers. This is a multi billion dollar company that’s made millions upon millions from this community. Time to hire a few community mods that are ACTIVE here. Time to take your responsiblity to this community more seriously than finding how to eek out a few more bucks.

It’s a Activizzard thing. They have zero interest in these forums and some serious PR issues on social media.
That AMA the other day was like watching an interview go south quickly on live TV. Even though they focused on all the softballs tossed at them, they still managed to screw that up.

Id say its mostly an Actiblizzard thing. However id say its also cultural rot of capitalism. I predicted around 2002 that by 2020 we would struggle to contact customer service anymore because corporations are just so allowed to abuse the customer. I feel comfortable standing behind that prediction. You cant contact a lot of the biggest companies in the world directly anymore to complain and if you do they ignore you very frequently.
To get a response from most mega corps these days you have to raise a stink on social media that gets news headlines, THEN they pay attention. Emails though can just be ignored. Blizzard proved this when they switched over from earning gold to battle pass and they proved it again when they screwed up peoples essence totals and didnt make good a few months ago. Corporations are more powerful than most politicians, so unless they have to fear another corporation like a credit card company (who can reverse charges) they dont give a squat and frankly dont have to. Thats capitalism baby! The dollar voted and the dollar said corps can treat us like crap and we keep spending like sheep. So thats what happens.

This was the only way to get a response when I had an issue with a particular pizza company. Text and email failed. Calls failed. Got on Twitter and started tagging them with photos of the garbage I was getting from one of their stores.
6 minutes later one of their home office reps contacted me.
Unfortunately, that strategy doesn’t work with Activizzard. You’ll get blocked and reported by them or their reps/devs at drop of a hat.

I wish we could pay through paypal. Paypal is a beast and any consumers best friend. Paypal constantly reverses charges for me when people give bad service or sell rotten products. Now that we cant pay with Amazon coins ill not be buying pretty much anything. Everything was overpriced and anti consumer even before runestone changes and cutting out Amazon coins. Now its just beyond insane. I can buy card games that are full releases with 100s of cards for less than half what I can buy a HS expansion. Nuts to that. Double so when I cant count on them to moderate the forums, balance their game, fix bugs or not find every way to squeeze every dollar from consumers.
Honestly Bobby Kotic and the games top execs are like Sire Dentharius. Just they infuse themselves with the dollars they leach from peasants.
