I dusted Yog, because those 2 spells he casts were always, every single time, something really bad for me. Killing my minions, buffing my opponent’s, damaging me, making me overdraw. I had literally zero positive “random” spells from Yog.
Charge was one of the worst mechanics ever invented. If you miss it, play Wild. You will lose to some of the most disgusting charge decks ever.
Yeah hyper aggro decks have always been a problem. Game over by turn 4. Most of the time you can’t draw the card you need for an answer to the early board spam.
It’s good to maintain slow turtles in check.
Hearthstone late game is puzzlebox like effects and OTKs everywhere.
It is Fun when it happens once but not when It is every single game.
Okay. It’s a very aggressive deck.
Completely delusional.
“Hyper aggro” is just a nonsense term you made in your head because you know that you could be playing decks that win, but you don’t want to actually think about what those decks are. You want to actively avoid winning so you can complain harder. It turns out, by coincidence, that the winning decks are mostly not very aggressive, outside of one or two counterexamples.
Fast decks do exist, and you don’t need to call him names to make your rebuttal.
I didn’t call him names. I called a thought names, and I’ll do it again. Saying that the only decks that are playable in this meta are hyper aggro is a completely delusional statement.
Actually all I’m saying is if you value your sanity aggro and hyper aggro are the only decks to play.
Otherwise 9/10 games will be determined by some ridiculous high roll, either you or your opponent, if game goes beyond about turn 5 or 6. Every turn after that it just becomes more and more likely.
Im with yellow on this.
Marin is a problem he is ine big slot machine. Can get ya crud ir win game on the spot. Just had a game where my opponent got brann and reno from wand and boombossed the next turn when i couldnt make a board.
Game before warrior concexed after getting nothing drom wand
Yeah, the longer the game goes, the less it feels like decisions matter now. It’s really just a ticking time bomb before something stupid happens.
Aggro is the only option for games that end before the bomb goes off.
There’s a pretty healthy aggro experience, then anything slower is almost all about who draws the game ender first.
Lol, couple of hours in the mini-set and every streamer is playing Big Spell Mage xD
It’s one of the only new decks from the mini set. I wonder if they are still forcing surfolopod or not.
50-50
Theo is, reqvam is not, reqvam has a better rank
Idk about their opponents, but it seems whole top 200 went BS mage
Most popular class in the game doesnt get slop for a change and a really good card that enables a pairing with Rogue and everyone jumps on it.
A mystery for the ages.
I’m willing to bet no surf will be the better deck. That’s been very conclusive with my testing over the last month or two.
The best form of it will probably be what I was running + rogue cards.
I’m not really qualified to judge which version is better, but I think surfalopod is very strong in this deck
It’s not as big of a tempo loss to lose you a game as often as it can highroll you an instant win
P.S. I want some insider info xDD Which decks you struggled against?
Any of those include painlock and insanity?
I wanna try capitalize on whole legend losing their minds and playing mage
EDIT: Why is Huddle up not played? What’s wrong with 7 random Nagas?
EDIT 2: mlYaming agrees with me on Surfalopod and he’s one of the best mage players (one of the best players, period)
It’s an extremely diverse meta. You get to pockets where you will see players playing certain decks. Once you move out of that area there’s different decks being played and you might have to switch to something else.
I was doing my monthly run from D5-legend and i hit nothing but Buff Paladin in those ranks. I just switched to a different deck to combat them better and finished my climb.
It’s true about the pockets. I mean, it’s always like this, but now it’s definitely even more so
Whole of top 200 are playing Big Spell Mage. What am I missing?
I’ve seen many good new cards which gave me plenty of ideas for decks. Painlock can now have AoE to become a huge tempo deck if they lose the aggro battle (Fine Print). It literally gave one of the strongest decks additiona win con and a comeback mechanism.
Any deck can abuse Zephrys, especially control-ish ones.
Warrior got a broken new 2 mana spell.
What’s going on? Do people really, really love mage?
I mean, it was my 1st and only main for most of my HS career, but if you’re not gonna allow the class to have a Rainbow Sif Mage as it had even though other decks can finish the game reliably by turn 7 anyway, then what’s the point?
I would literally play any other class right now. Any.
People just love simple decks and casting a bunch of 9/10 mana spells on turn 5,6,7 is about as simple as it comes and can win enough games.
Big spell mage was a lot more fun when the deck wasn’t so consistent.
i think is because most of the nagas in standard have low stats(less than 5 attack)
