Game crashes shortly after launch

Symptoms:

When I launch the game, the Heathstone menu item is inactive, Shop is “closed," and Battlegrounds game crashes after a minute or two in a game with an error.

HS:CT;NetCacheGoldBalance=0;NetCacheClientOptions=0;NetCacheBattlegroundsHeroSkins=2

And a message: “Your game timed out as it was requesting data from the Hearthstone utility service. Please relaunch Hearthstone to reconnect.”

Troubleshooting done:

  • Changed ISP connection and tried connecting to VPN too - issue still persists on different networks.
  • Tried on both Windows PC and MacBook - the issue persists.
  • The issue appears to be related to the specific account - everything is okay when I log into a different account.
  • “Scan and Repair” did not help.
  • Re-installing the game did not help.
  • My household partner, who is connected to the same network, has no issues with their account on both their computer or mine.

Same issue here. I am able to spectate, play arena, and the pre-release event. Nothing else works. Tried all of the same - same problem on both pc and mobile - other accounts work fine.

Same issue here. I’m able to play in other regions (EU + FE), but not on my main server, NA, after today’s patch. I’ve tried other computers, networks, clearing all caches, and re-installing with no luck.

I’m also having this issue. Tried reinstalling, deleting caches, etc. Glad to see I’m not the only one though.

I’ve just checked myself - same here - it works on EU, but not on NA

Same issue here. Game crashes mid-solo game, and in Battlegrounds, you click start game, and nothing happens.

Apparently this is the known issue
