I have been playing Legends of Runeterra (LOR) since the day it came out and I must say I am enjoying it a lot more then Hearthstone. I have been playing Hearthstone for years and get to legend ever month. A lot of the problems people are having with Herathstone are non-issues in LOR. It’s easy to get the cards you want by doing quests. You get lots of free decks right away. You can earn the cards you want by selection your region, and doing those quests. It doesn’t feel pay2win at all. If you want to invest money in the game you wouldn’t have to spend that much on cards. Riot went more with cosmetic micro-transactions then having to have players focus their money on buying cards. The game seems pretty balanced. The matches are competitive and long. There are aggro decks, but they are not game breaking like Hearthstone is. It’s a solid game and it won’t be long before more Hearthstone players start abandoning this game for LOR. When your tired of spending over $100 per expansion and only get half the legendary cards. Tired of dealing with a broken MMR system that pairs me up with platinum players that cause me to loss rank after beating just feels pointless. I hope Blizzard sees this because there player base is leaving because of a new card game that is actually a lot of fun.

The fact that HS games are so short is why I’m into it. I’m not looking to be the best in the game, I’m looking for something to play while I diddly around. Enjoy your game, I’ll enjoy mine.
LoR just lacked something. The game has potential but it lacks Hearthstone’s soul. That’s basically the issue with all other card games that aren’t Hearthstone.
Did enjoy Shadowverse for a while though. It was well balanced (not anymore) and the evolve system is a thing of beauty.
“LoR is good” and “I post on the Hearthstone forums” are not mutually exclusive statements. You can believe LoR is the better game, and think it’s worth saying so to people who might not be having as much fun with Hearthstone. This is true or any game, but particularly so with CCGs, which often have a steep investment curve (either in time or money) before you can fully enjoy the game. Having someone who has played a lot of Hearthstone explain why they find another game more enjoyable can be very helpful to other people who are looking to do the same, because they both share an understanding of what the shortcomings of Hearthstone are.
I liked the game but didn’t stick with it because it wasn’t on tablet. Now it is and it runs really well and looks great. I’ll definitely be playing more to learn the game and build a collection.

For Example.
Does a Shaman ever NOT have Serpentine Portal to cast on turn 3? The RNG this time gave him legend Akama to boot.
Then of course the Shaman started to do all of his invoke Galakrond spells and minions and we all know what happens turns 5 - 9.

I killed Akama on turn 5 and I said - Hmm the Prime costs turn 6 I bet he is there on turn 6.
Well he would have been but the Shaman was overpowered 2 crystals so the Shaman played Akama Prime on turn 7 instead.
Ever notice they always have a Walking Fountain going into the Midgame to try and save the win? With Galakrond to follow right after.
How amazing is that? I mean the actual odds for that to happen. And yet all those Prime minions when destroyed and go back into the deck. AMAZING! There they are turns 6 - 9 or on whatever their cost is going into the deck.
O no someone that has played the game for years used the FREE PUBLIC FORUM to share an opinion about it and compare it to another game. CLOSE IT DOWN BOYS AND GIRLS THE END IS NIGH.
Only in the case of Hearthstone you cap at two packs a day after you play a stupid amount of games. And the crafting is just laughable.
Did anyone ever play Scrolls by Mojang? Now that’s a card game i really enjoyed, shame it died.
I already donwloaded LOR but i don’t have much time …and after reading this … i may not even give it a try now … i like TCG but i can’t spend too much time on them … that’s why HS is so perfect.
I am already platinum in LOR. After playing the game it does have similar problems to hearthstone because they do have aggro decks in that game that just go face and you can win in a few minutes. They call it burn decks. It’s like playing face hunter. However, if your not facing one of these burn decks the games can go quite long. I have had many games go over 30 minutes. There is a lot more cards in your deck then Hearthstone as well. It’s a different game for sure.
