I believe so, and I will be testing this out on November 5th.
It’s possible that logging into the forums, the blizzard store, or to update your email address may count as logging into the game, which will then undermine an attempt to leave your account dormant for 90 days so that you can collect returning player rewards, such as Catch Up packs and a free deck.
Due to a data breach, I lost access to all my old comcast emails, and when I updated my account to a new email address, it treated that as though I had logged into the game, so I failed to get the returning player rewards when I did return to play my account.

Nah. I bet it doesn’t count unles you enter the game, up to its menu.

I would expect that “logging into the game” means what it says… i.e. logging into Hearthstone, not merely logging into the Blizzard launcher (for other Blizzard games) or the forums.
But unless you know the exact date you last logged in, there’s no way to be sure.

I’m posting again a message “removed by staff for trolling”, where I just expressed opinions about the actual situation. Even more, “The community feels it is inflammatory, extraneous or upsetting”.
Here you have it:
“So many time without playing and the comeback isn’t worth it. I will just set this day in the calendar. Let’s see 3 months later if it works and can get some cards only for collection. By the way, dead game.”
Whether you want it or not, the game quality has fallen down, reflected in a poor forum management full of absurd censorship.
