I’m not sure if this is a settings thing, I’ve seen people mention that if your account is set to appear offline, the person you’re playing against will be “your opponent”, and wont display their name, but I’m set to online, and haven’t been set to appear offline ever to my knowledge. I’d assume if the person your playing against doesn’t want their name to appear, you wont see a name, but that doesn’t explain why literally everyone I have played the past two months has been "your opponent, it just doesn’t make sense to me.
No, it’s the opposite. If you set your account to appear offline, you will appear as “your opponent” instead of your name. It’s the settings on their end, not yours.
That makes sense, but I literally don’t see any names at all, ever. Its a minor inconvenience if that, but its weird. Like whenever I watch streamers like Trump, they get the names of their opponents pretty much every game… Its gotta be an issue with my account, right?
Do you see your own name? If you see only “You” then you turned on a “streamer mode” though I have no idea how it is possible to press Ctrl-Shift-S unconsciously.
