Every class must have one viable deck in Standard

Warrior players are leaving the game everyday.

It’s painful to watch Warrior like this.

I’ve said for years, that in each meta, every class should have at least 1 viable deck.
Since 2015, I’ve not seen it happen once. Recently it’s gotten worse, but there have been times in the past where 1 class consists of nearly 60 percent of the decks. Bleach in my eyes and in my mouth

this is what happens when class roles get abandoned so Blizzard can squeeze more money.

Even when they did not abandon class roles, classes are not balanced…

you should just leave now if that is your standard. a game i with 9 classes will ever have all 9 classes " viable" at the same time.

Viable just means playable. Not a really big ask. Tier 4 is playable.

No they don’t. This isn’t some MMO where all the classes need to be playable at any given time. All the really need to do is have multiple play styles options being viable each standard cycle and it doesn’t necessarily have to be every class always has something. People need to get off the only one class forever train.

Yeah, this is kind of like the dream scenario, but it’s rarely going to happen.

It’s really hard to balance the game in a way where everyone is viable. An with an 11th class likely coming, I’d be shocked if they can keep 7 out of the 11 classes viable.

I don’t see how they balance anything tbh. Nine classes was symmetrical.
Eleven is impossible imo.

It’s nearly impossible really. Especially expecting every meta to be that way.

Best you can hope for is like 1/3 - 2/3 being viable. You’ll always have a tier rating and someone has to be on the bottom.

I’ve never seen a game balance around multiple variations. MTG struggled as well with just 5 colors and I don’t think it’s EVER been balanced.

Well; nine classes/three playstyles in each, made mathematical sense.
That’s gone forever, I guess.

True balance is a pipe dream. An unattainable ideal that can be strived for but never truly possible. That’s one reason I admire the frequent balance patches. I can handle that. I have a hard time imagining balance patches being months apart

Consider the difficulty in balancing the game now. Now consider adding a new class. We’re in for a roller coaster. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ya know what, though? I’m nevertheless excited to see Death Knight. Color me crazy.

Not to mention everyone has a different definition of viable. For some Viable means only deck above tier 1 and everything below is non-viable.

Wasn’t frenzy warrior on the recent list? Most of the decks on the list were aggressive.

I’m guessing OP wants another removal factory with one card win condition nellie restored to the old state, so the deck can apply pressure before moving to the charge/copy or kazak backup win conditions.

We came pretty close to balance more than once before Demon Hunters were introduced,
Now I would say it’s never going to happen again.

Quest Warrior is still viable but who wants to play that anymore?

Enrage warrior is viable it’s just kind of the bad version of token druid

Another thing a class can have a viable deck even the best deck in the meta but if it doesn’t have the right kind of cards that class doesn’t exist to some people.

Yeah leave now if you want balance. That’s Blizzard fanboy logic. 1 Viable deck per class is not unreasonable when you don’t have lazy and incompetent developers who couldn’t balance a spoon on their finger.

it is if a card game has 9 different classes… lol its not a blizzard issue its a card game issues. MTG has problems with balance and it only has 5 colors
