This. Now that bgs are p2w, and they have no problem admitting as much (all protestations to the contrary), squelching those whales would be counter intuitive to their business model.

Its been inplemented for a while now with the same system as in standard.
Right click on Bob or an opponents portrait and there you can squelch the emotes.
