Either win by turn 4-5 or play a different game

Pretty much what the title says. Mage killing you by turn 8-9, rogue killing you by turn 4(astroid), druid casting 6 spells in a row that do 8 damage per spell to face, warlock playing destroy you deck win the game etc etc. Shaman with astroid aswell. Theres zero interaction, just brain dead special help decks for the dependent middle aged adult. Its odd because aren’t a lot of the HS devs young?,… i understand, they are told if they dont maje money they will be let go, and they know its the casuals that spend the most because they like a quick game with no thought and these people jump from class to class which ever is the current op top netdeck so buy packs of cards the most.

I want to get stuck in to HS, but i refuse to turn my brain off to just play a netdeck that requires zero thought or skill. At least put prince ren back in standard to give the thinkers a chance agaist the handicap decks.

I just played against a paladin that reordered the deck on turn 3 and then set it up to cause damage equal to the cost of the next card drawn. On turn 4 the next card drawn had a cost of 100 and did 100 damage to me.
Where is the game play in any of this?
This is why I really don’t play anymore, and decided to play a few to see what was going on. Maybe to see if it improved, but it’s actually worse.
What card do I need my in my deck to defeat that paladin set up?
I guess the game is about who can get to their I WIN set up fastest.
The name of the card that cost 100 is the ceaseless expanse.

Lol wanted to check out what people thought of this xpac.

I played 3 games rogue, druid and warrior.

Rogue won turn 5 I never even got to play.
Druid kept healing from 5-10 to 30 with hydration and tons of armor.
Warrior kept up his taunts

I was playing hunter maybe that is where the problem lies. Quit and uninstalled immediately. Might try in 2026

Every time I come back it gets worse.
There is less and less game play, and it’s basically who ever gets to their I WIN combo first.

That’s a loaded statement. The best players avoid the simplest aggro decks. They need the more complex decks that go later because they need high skill cap decks and the highest skill cap decks are rarely too fast (they are at least mid-range).

Also the post itself contradicts itself, it says 4-5 on the title and then the first sentence says 8-9.

I don’t understand how some of these decks are “braindead” when these combos need to be set up or require a combination of cards to work, unlike aggro to the face decks.

I dunno, I played grindy Asteroid Shaman and faced Reno decks, games were long.

Then I wanted a faster deck so played Elemental Mage and won 13 in a row against a variety of decks. That one builds up the board.

Hunter I went 0-4 with against DK who has better board control tools. I even had multiple 8/8 buffed Cash Cows lol.

The whole game is based around “random”. Unlike MTG, there is no strategy to this game. Each class every single season is based around a single deck. All because almost every card says “Do random bull****”
The developers for blizzard year after year in multiple games of theirs have shown they can no longer actually develop games that come down to your actually ability in anything.
Seriously, this new deck or season or whatever they want to call it gets released, and i face the same decks over and over again. Within days, everyone is using the same thing. It’s comical that this is what blizzard is now.

Support the devs by buying stuff from their shop…The people working at Blizzard I think are so starved and deprived of nutrients that their brain can barely function anymore to even create , develop or keep this hugh pile of steaming dog si@t running

Unfortunately it all comes back to the design philosophy of this team.

When they know manacheating has been breaking the game forever and the make a card like Quasar, its obvious they like this kind of solitaire gameplay.

Quasar is not that good but its really unfun to face it, even if you face it in 1 out 10 games. Low winrate probably makes the experience worse because its less likely they will nerf it.

Also it makes Rogue have only one way of playing the class, which I hate cause its my favorite class. Starship Rogue is a failure, deck has 30% winrate so if you want to play Rogue, you HAVE to play crap like Quasar or Shuffle Rogue.

On the other hand cards like Zilliax that are literally in every single deck and make most of the new strategies subpar are another type of problem.

The problem is that they do regular nerfs instead of doing hard nerfs because of being afraid they will “kill” the archetype.

The “nerfed” big spell mage and ended up making it stronger.

They nerfed Zilliax how many times now? And the card is stil utterly broken in almost every deck.

Cheating a billion of mana is still very easy for most of the classes.

I like the new set a lot but older cards are breaking the game. What’s the point playing starships when you can just play an Unkilliax deck and cheat a billion mana.

While their design ideas this set were amazing, their balance philosophy is still terrible and it just makes it so I dont have high expectations from this game anymore. I wIll play a couple of games each day and that’s it

Blizzard needs to balance before launch even if it means delaying the launch. So tired of the typical profitability over quality and design. What makes this game fun is to play chess with people on an animated stage. Losing before turn five is over is unbalanced and creates classes that then have to be built to counter one or two classes (Rouge Quasar and Druid spell damage are two that comes to mind) but loose against everything else. So you either win big or loose fast. Rarely do I play a game that cuts it close for both.

Wait but if they play Order in the Court on 3, end turn, then on turn 4 they can’t use Holy Wrath to draw Ceaseless Expanse and deal 100, because they already drew it at the start of their turn. Am I missing something?

complaning about losing on turn 8-9…thats just being a sore loser

To be Frank I think this expansion is fine for the most part. Priest needs attention and rogue needs to be reviewed. Mage def needs to be tone back though. The damage out put and the drop rate is too fast for control to handle.

Warlock is nothing special, yeah they can prob drop a 8/8 on turn 4, but most people have a good amount of mobs on that turn or something to kill it.

Warrior is warrior from prior castle, so the same. Their new cards def need a buff since no one plays em. I have seen a dranei variant, but it’s like a worse version of other agro decks.

Similar to warrior, demon hunter has also barely changed. Pirate is still the top version. New cards needs a buff

Druid is interesting in both ways. Agro can take it out, but I feel kil’jaden will need to be looked at with this card. Kil’jaden may see a nerf to 8. Spell Druid is pretty healthy. Control can deal with it and so can aggro.

Paladin. Not much can be said. It’s a hit and a miss with Librams. They are too slow. Not much has changed with this deck.

Shaman is prob the most interesting deck. It’s a fun deck to play like plague DK, I don’t see anything negative about the play format for meteor shaman or old school shaman.

Hunter may need to be nerf a little. It’s very aggressive as it has been in the past and difficult to counter the secrets. I rarely see egg hunter and when it’s play it’s usually struggles.

To be fair, people have been winning by turn 4-5 since the dawn of Hearthstone. Remember turn 1 I Feel Icky, turn 2 Put This Apple On Your Head, turn 3 Oink Oink, turn 4 and turn 5 Bark Bark Killing Command and hero powers.

Please get reading comprehensive skills. I said mage xan win by 8-9 which isnt as problematic if other classes were not winning by turn 4-5. If you read past the fast line i say rogue by 4-5. Please be grown up and read an entire statement before responding in the future.
