So after googel’ing around and only finding posts asking what the best cards to dust was when the year rotated last year and that you should not dust wild cards as there was going to be Wild tournaments - I gotta ask here as I don’t even remember due to being a dumba**.
Do we get full Dust-refund value on ALL cards that rotates into Wild? Or just the ones that is in the “Hall of Fame” section? When the year rotated last year I was doing Wild anyway with my Dude Paladin until Boomsday came along pretty much so I did not dust anything when the year rotated and never tok attention to if ALL cards that went wild from the rotating 3 sets had full dust vallue.
You don’t get anything from sets rotating to wild. However, cards going into the Hall of Fame gives full dust refund and you get to keep the cards. Up to the maximum amount of cards you can have in a deck. So 1x Legendary and 2x for the others. Gold will be prioritized over normal.
Oh… new player here. so what card can I craft now to gain the value of this refund?
This shows what cards are rotating, and also what to do for maximizing dust gain.

That’s a very nice discussion. The flowchart can be misleading thoughh, as it doesn’t take into account that different people have different wishes. What are the goals for your card and dust collection?
Are you like Kripp (aiming for owning all cards, all golden)? Are you like me (aiming for all cards, no matter golden or not)? Do you hate wild and plan to disenchant any card as soon as it’s unplayabble in standard? Or perhaps you don’t care about a complete collection but simply want the most possible cards that you might want to play, either in wild or in standard, in which case you probably plan to disenchant some of the cards and keep others.
The HoF rotation allows you to craft un-owned cards for free. Or to make a profit on cards you already own. Or to upgrade plain cards to golden for a fraction of the price. Or other nice stuff. What is best for you really depends on what your goals are. And on the type of card, as the ratios are not the same for each rarity.
I made a simple spreadsheet for myself where I entered what I have and then can play around with how many of each type I could craft now and how many I will disenchant after the rotation, The spreadsheet then shows me the net dust gain at the end, how many golden and plain copies I have at the end, and the dust investment (needed to plan how much I can do before running out).
The post goes through what do to if you wish to upgrade to golden or if you wish to maximise dust in the basic rules in almost the top of the post.
It also goes through examples for different situations if you want a free craft, or disenchant later for more dust.
I may not have made myself clear enough. It is the flowchart that can be misleading in some cases. The post itself appears to be excellent. I didn’t read the whole thing because I already have my spreadsheet for my decision making but at first glance it definitely apears to be a very thorough discussion.
So I guess the bottom line of my comment is: do not just look at the flowchart, take the time to read the whole post.

Thanks for the link! great help so just to confirm. I have 7200 dust now. i can then spend now 3200 on the 2 golden legendaries - Baku and Genn
Coming rotation in April i will get back the full 6400 dust. and i can still dust them away for an additional 1600 dust.
is the understanding above correct?
That is correct!
Also its 1600 dust each if you decide to dust them later.
great help. Thanks all! i will make create the cards later.
