Done playing Hearthstone ranked until Quest Pally goes

Love how Blizz completely ignored the problem when they did their recent “balance changes”…I will not play ranked or give another penny until something is done about Quest Pally. I have played 6 games today…5 against this stupid deck. I miss the days when you would face different decks while trying to rank. Now it’s the same stupid crap over and over. I know there are a ton of people that feel the same way, and I know there are a bunch of you that will talk smack, but I don’t really care. I’m done.

yeah im still going to play but im definitely sick of it, its not the quest that gets me , its the stupid starcraft murloc. it wins the game no matter what i do. its basically summon 4 10/10 murlocs that clear the board. i insta concede against murloc pally. i dont care about ranking. i just want to have fun and nothing about facing that deck is fun or engaging.

I mean, you can play ranked Wild

If you actually try to rank and not goof around (eg doing achievements), then you’re playing the wrong netdecks because that pala deck is not even in the top 10 of the best netdecks right now.

A big problem for beginners is that most players currently are veterans who play for at least ~5 years so they’re not going to play decks outside the top 10 netdecks that often (if they try to rank).

Bye Felicia. You will not be missed.

i back to play this game and i only play wild ranked, and 9 of 10 games are pally murlocs … is insane

I’m now 4-1 against Murloc Paladins with Elemental Shaman which is pretty far down in terms of win rate, so skill issue.

Warlocks, Preists, and DH are all a much bigger issue.

Yesterday, Google AI and myself worked over eight hours refining my deck list. Afterwards went from the bottom of D4 to D2. I’ve been busy with a couple other posts and things around the house.

I might be able to get legend tonight with the list. It’s wildly different from how I’ve been playing. The changes feel good. The tools are out there. You need to be creative and skilled to make them work for you.

I planned to post about this and I have the draft saved. I reworked my Protoss Rogue deck that I’ve played for the last few months. The AI and I left off with me testing the current version and then reviewing some of the tech and strategy choices for this build.

The AI won’t do it for you and answer automatically. It will contain a lot of erroneous information. You will need to correct it, set up conditions and scenarios, and help it understand. It functions like a child genius. When you help it understand a very complex space, together you can find solutions you wouldn’t see yourself and wouldn’t show up from the general population’s explorations.

There’s still murloc paladin here, in addition we have holy wrath paladin, libram paladin deathknight hero power paladin. Did I miss any?

I did bump into some Loh Drood, Face Protoss Priests, a couple Quest DH, more than a few Quest Warlocks and a surprising number of Quest Mage.

Plenty of Paladins. My new list deals much better with certain early dynamics. I’ll post it tomorrow.

Are you new to HS ? Hearthstone is out of control 5+ year now , im laughing when i see posts for a specific class or deck when the problem is in the core of the game .Theres over 30 cards right now that need to be banned .
People play HS not because is enjoyable but more are a compulsive habit , balanced gameplay is not even a concept in the minds of devs

“Tbh the era of 4 mana 7/7 is way less agressive then now. The fact that we can put creatures in play that cost 8 or 10 for 6 mana plus a 4/4 body or the fact that we can gain 8 life and put a 5/7 with charge or a 3/9 with infinite taunts on turn 6 or the fact that you can deal more than 20 damage in one turn consistently with Burn Mage, this examples put a 4 mana 7/7 on another lower level than the one HS is going to.”

Honestly, you can go back

I’m having a blast

Suggesting ranked wild to people trying to play new content is a ridiculous suggestion. They may get to see different decks but the power scaling of access to all cards is far more oppressive than anything in standard.

There are decks just as broken. I played 4 straight RC rampage Hunters that literally drew the EXACT same cards in their first 4 turns. That’s not just bad RNG. That’s scripted garbage to see 4 players in a row draw the exact (literally) same cards, like it is hard coded. The player is just a passive participant, they aren’t even a factor in the game’s outcome.

Today is especially pro stuff from the dev team with the crashing not just every 3 games, but every game now with the “your game was recorded” message. Happening to a coworker on the same commute train too, different phone. The game is a dumpster fire.

Here are two games that I think I played very well.

If you want, I will post analyze and describe any possible misplays and better conditions. But honestly, I felt I did pretty good.

The hardest was the Priest which I lost: https://hsreplay.net/replay/g37ETotKFX6XzgsrECdETD

The Death Knight was a technical matchup and very close in the end: https://hsreplay.net/replay/4JVjhK5wPSJJQkaqQXfptA

I recently made a post about this Rogue deck. I have made some of my own modifications since. I have consistently made it to the top of Diamond 1 and then fall back to D3. It really depends how many polarizing matchups I play into.

If I play against 3 Protoss Mage, I’m likely to lose them all. If I queue streak into face decks that draw 1, 2 and 3 mana cards every turn so consistently and I don’t draw any of my removal, I will likely lose those too (Hunter and Priest mostly). Even though half my deck contains Discover cards I don’t seemingly find my removal options.

There are certain parts of my Mulligan that I am learning about this deck. This deck is more complex and not as easy to play.

My deck in particular does well against Paladin. I can play a Dark Templar and they can’t remove it. They run very a few taunts and I can follow up the next turn by hitting them in the face and playing a High Templar for a possible Archon finish.

In the game against Priest, I had four cards left in my deck. I played Card Grader and if I discovered the High Templar, I would’ve won the game. I missed. If I had drawn my High Templar earlier, I also would’ve won. Even though there was no chance of winning, I stayed in the game and my High Templar was the very last card in the deck.

I can’t tell you the number of times I have only needed to discover one card in the bottom ~5 cards in my deck and lost the game because of it.

One of the last times this happened (week ago) I had two discover chances among 6 cards. The second discover chance was among the last 5 cards. I missed both times. In both discover chances, I got two of the same cards twice. The only card that was replaced had been the first Discover option I picked.

This exact scenario was 2/783 probability. I lost because of it.

its sad to hear how murloc drained all the fun out of your hearthstone experience. there is alot of other fun decks. sadly most doesnt counter that murloc…
