On the op’s point. It doesn’t matter. Aggro aggro matches are fun and fast. Control control mirrors are slow and fun.
It’s the polarized matchups that aren’t fun, IMHO. But being aggro vs control has the edge because you can always just tap out when you know you’re licked (but not enough people do, hence the salt).
