Hello,
Recently the game has been unplayable for me. Every game disconnects atleast once, sometimes I can get disconnected multiple times per game. I contacted support, they told me to check the forums because the issue has to be on my end. Here on the forums I found alot of similar issues.
The funny thing is the Diablo 4 works perfectly fine, it’s ONLY Hearthstone that has this issue. No other game, application or device in my network experience problems.
I’m convinced the issue is not me, my network or my PC but rather something on blizzards end that decides to kick players of the EU server.
This is what I’ve tried to resolve the issue:
- Verify install files
- Reinstall network drivers
- Restart router
- Plug PC straight into ISP modem instead of router
- Disable local firefall
- Disable router firewall
- Enable/Disable UPnP
- Restart router
- Set new local IP adress on PC
- With/without VPN
- With/without DNS filtering functions (Pi-hole)
- Reinstalled the game 4 times on 4 different drives
- WiFi/Ethernet - both disconnects in the same manner
I’ve ran multiple diagnostic tools in which I’ve found nothing indicating when the disconnect occurs, here is a list:
- Jitter test - No indication of jitter during games or disconnects
- Ping test - No indication of ping-spikes or problems when game disconnects
- ISP health check monitor in Ubiquity - No indication of ISP issues during disconnects
- Wireshark recording during game - No indication of missordered or missed packets during gameplay and disconnects
- Checked DNS block list in the Pi-Hole - No blocked DNS records related to battle.net or Hearthstone at all. (I’ve alos ran the game without DNS filter, issue persists)
- PC eventlogs - No indications of issues during game or at time of disconnect
I would be willing to run tests and provide logs to blizzard to get this resolved but it seems to me that they are either unwilling or unable to do anything about these connection related issues.
Regards,
Benjamin
