The replacement voice actor was extremely poor, but it sounds like the newer Thrall skins from Madness at the Dark Moon Faire’s Tavern Pass have new voice lines from Chris Metzen. Maybe Blizzard brought him back for a quick session for Book of Heroes, and while they had him they asked him to voice him for other random skins too?
I’m pretty sure they did and it wasnt just him they added voice lines to all the jaina ones and the heros you got at the end of the rewards track it was a really nice change. Some of the lines are pretty good
Thrall now sounds like Varian used to. And Varian now sounds like some dude that smokes way to many cigarettes.
I mean chris metzen voices thrall and varian so he should sound like varian he voices some other ones too like ragnaros

Except Chris Metzen retired, Laura Bailey didn’t.
Metzen didn’t retire from life. Like Bailey, they can both freelance.
