People who complete all of their quests are shills. People who used to complete all their quests were shills.
I don’t understand how anyone who did every little thing that Bobby left on their to-do list can then turn around and accuse other people of working for Blizzard, as if they don’t.
I also just talked myself out of the next tavern pass while I was in this thread. Gotta break the cycle

Thats Insane what they did. 5 Wins to 15 by only 33% more Reward??? Just make them collectable with wins against friends so then I can farm it with my friend. For 15 wins in week in Standard/Wild I dont have time I have a job

Thinking about uninstalling the game personally, but we all know how addicted and sunk cost fallacied we are and that the game would get reinstalled again at some point so why bother. Best/only thing I/we can do is spend 0 dollars on the game (been that way for me for many years anywayz, but for anyone who still spends money on the game…ask yourself why)

Then unlearn it. As a wise (/s) man once said, “If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?” If your identity is an addicted person, reject your identity. Have the strength in you kill the weakness in you, without mercy or remorse. Phoenix energy.

If I/we wanted to, I/we would. Personally I still enjoy Hearthstone despite acknowledging the flaws/drawbacks/stupidity, I admit things which are true but which also do not matter to one who doesn’t want to change. Id prefer you reply to my other thread about the quest change though, tell me how it isn’t actually a bug but a feature, and tell me why it’s actually a good thing by Blizz. That way I can be sure it’s you I’m interacting with.
Nah. I like this thread more.
A good thing by Blizz? More like a good thing for them. Almost transparently self serving.
You want to test me? You’re that same person who hates playing against bots and made that terrible suggestion to “fix” that, right? Well I’ll test you right back then. You are to figure out what Blizzard hopes to achieve with this quest change. Hint: whenever you are not paying for a product, you are the product.
I mean, it’s how I have gone over a year without buying packs for gold…
I play a lot, so I’ll get more packs, but I still dislike how manipulative this change is.

Nah it’s okay, I can see it’s actually you by the stupid emojis

I played Hearthstone since it was released.
I just uninstalled it.
The quests until now were ok, I played a few games / week and finsihed all of them.
Now I need to play 3 times as much for a handful more xp.
Or - if I play the same - I only get a fraction of the XP I got now → getting less gold, getting less cards.
Nope, I am out.
Have fun Blizzard with this kind of shenanigans.

25% increase in XP for 200% increase in quest requirements.
It’s as if they’re trying to alienate their casual playerbase.

My only surprise was that they didn’t implement these changes sooner.
This was intended and inevitable.
Time to uninstall. It has been a nice run for a free to play game. Thanks to all I played this game with.

As a primarily BG player, I managed to just barely complete all my quests each week so I could keep up my gold income to stay moderately competitive with each new expansion.
Now there’s absolutely no reason for me to care about standard at all, since I’m going to fall so far behind in gold there’s no way I’d stay competitive without spending real money on packs.
Which I guess is fine with Blizzard since I wasn’t buying packs anyway, but I can and will still protest this sham by not paying for the BG pass either, which I’ve been buying every season up to now.

i was 1 away from win 5 rank. log in today reset to 15 f that. i play more casually bg but 15 too much has well.
blizz, i understand the raise in the reqs but why go up to 200%? it would be reasonable to raise it a little less, and most of us who work a lot and have little time , could be still able to do every weekly… now for the first time after 8 years I’m seriously thinking quiting…
As long as it was designed to offer rewards at every step, it would have been acceptable. Splitting 3000 XP into 15 parts, with each part giving 200 XP and providing rewards after every win, I believe this would have been beneficial for both frequent and infrequent players. The same applying to other quests depending on their numbers provided.
They certainly approached it incorrectly.

Yeah absolutely
Not necessarily such small steps but yes
Ranked quest remains 5 wins, but you have 3 stacks of it for 1000 xp each, and if you haven’t depleted all your stacks by the end of the week, they are refilled for the next week
That’s a middle ground that would still hurt casual players, but not in such a drastic manner
Yeah, ignore but then you don’t get the gold that is used to buy packs. I think HS is trying to get rid of legacy players like us.

The small step reward also serves as a dopamine boost to encourage further progress.
It’s surprising that those working on the redesign didn’t consider that aspect. If you’re going to revamp it, it only makes sense to make it more enjoyable and enticing.
The revamp appears to be disliked by everyone, including those who would typically benefit the most from playing extensively.
