Current wilted shadow function

so after the hotfix the other day the current wilted shadow function seems to be this:

1.) an enemy gets “healed” from a friendly source … targeted, end of turn effect, aoe, random (rare but exists!) … minion/spell/hero power[/other?]

2.) the wilted shadow interrupts the heal trigger and attacks the enemy(/ies … circle of healing is still a card! … seems like targeting works in order of played on board) … this occurs regardless of whether a healing negation effect (like crator gator … idk how to get repulsive gargantuan into play vs innkeeper … will need to try to test w/ someone) is in play, but does not occur if you use a “healing is damage” effect like auchanai soulpriest or embrace the shadow … effects like sleep and freeze do not effect this triggered attack, nor do taunts impede it, however nor do you get two attacks per healing effect if wilted shadow has windfury … these triggered attacks can be done before or after normal attacks

(i would imagine if the enemy hero had stealth and something like the critter caretaker effect triggered, the enemy hero would still be attacked through stealth, tho i have not tested this … i also don’t know if there is a sort of “double random targeting” – one for heal trigger and one for attack – that would happen with something like noggenfogger)

3a.) the enemy takes the attack and the remaining life is zero or lower and so the enemy dies … the healing effect does not occur

3b.) the enemy takes the attack and was not full hp prior to the attack and is left with more than zero and so is healed for the healing amount from the source (0 if negation in effect)

3c.) the enemy takes the attack and WAS at full hp prior to the attack and is left with more than zero hp … in this case, the enemy is still not healed after the attack

that last part there (3c) seems just a tad inconsistent, but i can see an argument being made for it (it’s still probably technically a bug and should be fixed imo given what i’m about to say)… that being said it makes wilted shadow actually more deadly for the otk combo for characters who are still at full hp … no healing back from 0 and no healing from the first source of healing … assuming full hp, one shadow, and only bandages, 7+7-3+7-3+7-3+7-3+7 = 30 exactly … if the enemy is at 29 hp, it actually takes another bandage (unless it was a leech that sucked the 1hp somehow … i digress)

in any case, i wanted to get this out there in case they want to fix that last case and so that if they don’t people on both sides of the combo are aware of how it now works

in-between : if you heal for 5 but the enemy is only missing like 1 hp, after the attack you will only heal them for 1

The game registers how much you’re about ot heal, lets the shadow(s) attack, then proceeds to heal the registered amount

Basically, that’s mimicking the same behavior as if you attacked after the heal occured
They are trying the hardest they can to make it work like an “after” trigger while insisting to let it be a “whenever” trigger
The only actual difference between the two is that it now doesn’t heal back from 0
