Cowbell soloist thread

Today’s quest from the event wanted you to deal 3 damage with cowbell soloist

So obviously I had to run it, and met a few people also running it.

So how does everyone feel about this off meta card?

I liked it, if only because it’s a breath of fresh air of seeing something different.

It’s not the best card, but it’s not that bad either.

I might accidentally forget to change my deck tomorrow and keep playing it

I made the mistake of playing a Big Beast Hunter with this card in it, to complete both event quests at once. Turns out Hunter is really good at having minions on the board…

Fortunately, my 2nd opponent was a Blood DK so I had no problem drawing my entire deck and having an empty board to activate the Cowbells. EZ PZ!

I like the signature version a lot. Normal version not so much.

I have a quick tip for anyone who hasn’t completed the quest yet.

Just fire up this week’s Tavern Brawl and pick the Cowbell Soloist. Don’t expect to win the game or anything, but you’ll be done with the quest in just a few turns.

I think that event quest is bugged or something. I used cowbell soloist 2 times in the match, but managed to do 2 damage only once… still the quest was comleted by only one game.

You have to make sure it hits the target for damage. Divine shield pops don’t count towards the damage.

Also, if you use it to attack, it does 4 damage, which ‘completes’ the quest as well.

Ah, I see. It is OK then. I have attacked with the 2nd one too. I believed the soloist need to do it’s effect damage to make the quest completed.

I did the other quest where you need to play reborn minions

Haven’t read the topic thoroughly, so just in case — sorry if I missed something substantial…

It’s been discussed already, but I could repeat it: judging by the experience with these events, if you play enough HS, they get completed automatically, so if there’s an inconvenient quest, I’d just ignore it and keep playing normally, maybe doing dailies along the way.

If it wasn’t for the quest or achievement, I wouldn’t run it (just started the 3/3 section for the achievement).

It’s been fun but getting over using it. I don’t mind achievements or quests that make you use cards you wouldn’t normally. Just a lot of Zola/Brewmaster shenanigans with it.

Once I heard this minion’s voiceline, I fell in love. I’m a little late to the game, and so only received this quest today. The skit being referenced is hands down one of my favorite in SNL history. I can’t believe no one posted this here yet, so without further ado…

I absolutely  Will Ferrell.

This card is weak and doesn’t deserve the signature.

If it did 3 damage for not having a minion perhaps it will be considered.

I was thinking that as well. I don’t think it’s a bad card, but it’s definitely mediocre. I have no idea why it was given the signature treatment.
