All of my Death Knight decks are completely unplayable now, because so many of their Core cards are now Legacy. I finally got back into playing because of the new Death Knight class, but almost immediately I can’t play Death Knight anymore. A few rotating Core Legendary’s have also affected my Priest, Mage, and Paladin decks, but not nearly as bad as Death Knight. I have played since shortly before Un’Goro, but the game just isn’t fun anymore, since my existing collection is basically meaningless.
It’s a complete rip off and only proves that team 5 intends that legacy players will be forced to spend all of their dust even though we have had the cards for years, in some cases.
Just make new ones or play wild, thats the point of a fresh meta.

they took cards from me in wild when they got rotated to core. that’s a pure rip off.
It’s the opposite.
They didn’t took away cards you owned.
They took back cards they loaned to you for free.
Cards that are now missing in the core set have been replaced by other cards

The cards you had but now don’t have anymore were given to you for free as a part of core rotation
If you want to have them for wild, you need to craft them.
As far as I know, they don’t steal the cards you crafted from you. If you already had those cards when it hit core rotation, you would now also have them available to disenchant.
I know that for a fact as I’ve already disenchanted a few cards which are now part of a core and we got them for free.
Like, I disenchanted corpse bride from Path of Arthas, and I still got them in a version which can’t be disenchanted
This is 100% true. It is still horrendously confusing and made even more so by the card library interface making it really hard to tell which version of a card you do/don’t own if it’s in (or rotated from) core and is/was in another set.
This happens every single year at rotation. I feel like at some point they could make this a tiny bit easier to figure out in the card library.

I guess they could put a small sign “C” or “F”, designating Core or Free somewhere on them, but to me it seems pretty clear
When you right click on a card to disenchant it, it says “Uncraftable” - the only cards which are uncraftable are the ones you got for free from them
If you then realize you already had those cards because you personally crafted them, you’ll find them in a wild set they belong to

They took cards from me that I already paid dust for.
Can you at least give the name of (some) cards each time you report this issue ? Because people will always assume you only talk about core cards in the current context

Rotation is a standard and necessary process to keep balance somewhat existant and keeps things fresh. Most card games have it, it is hardly a scam at all. Wild blows no one wants that to be the default setting lol.

Man playing DK is dirty if not killed fast or make your opponent that you can’t win against it. I just had 4 headless horseman hero in my hand.
I would be fine with core if it didn’t take my wild cards.
I literally just crafted old cards that i have had for years, and each time the prompt said “These are Wild cards. Are you sure?”

If that’s what core is, then it’s a rip off.
Not familiar with your issue, but having an entirely free set for all newbies is better than having literally nothing at the start, even if it changes.

The Death Knight cards were freely provide as part of the introduction of the class, and didn’t need to be crafted until now when they were rotated out of Standard. That is BS, I am not crafting stuff that was freely given to everyone. I don’t care about Standard, I care about playing the cards I have.
I dont believe it gets rid of your original cards, all they do is give you 2 new temporary copies of the cards, then they take those temporary copies away when they rotate

Thats wierd i hold on to all my cards and i never dust anything(Epic /Legendary) unless it gives a full dust refund.
Just checked all my cards are still there , when the previous core set changed the original copies of those card still remain in my account.
If you lost cards that you had before the core set its a bug and you need to make a report.
They only take away the free core set cards you cant dust.
