CONTROL is NON-EXISTENT because BOARD CONTROL DOESN'T MATTER

You literally killed an entire deck archetype.

The game is literally just a clown fiesta to see who can out rng/mana-cheat/deal direct damage to their opponent the fastest.

You know your game is completely bonkers when warrior has gone aggro/tempo.

And before someone says ‘control decks aren’t dead because x exists’…you are objectively wrong.

Tier 3 decks don’t qualify.

This game is dying so fast because devs can’t seem to understand that players actually want to be involved in their game-play without the game playing itself.

It’s so sad to know you’ve lost by turn 2-4 half the time.

So boring and sad to know there’s that little counter-play and interaction.

No one plays for the board. You don’t need to.

Why play for the board when you can just shuffle 7+ Bombs into your opponents deck or do 70+ face damage from hand over the course of a game?

Devs. Wake-up.

Your 10th class (DH) has killed the game.

Your split attentions have killed the game (BG’S).

Your ‘innovative’ powercreep and un-counterable new mechanics have ruined the player’s experience.

Please fix your game. Make some drastic changes to balance beyond some lazy buffs/nerfs.

Yes, I’m frustrated.

Beyond the weekly ‘stats’…this game has some major fundamental issues tied to CARD MECHANICS.

Lastly, every class double dips into another class’s ‘strong suit’. When everyone’s ‘special’…no one is.

Classes have lost their ‘uniqueness’ and that is a major concern (Hello RNG/DISCOVER/CARD GENERATION)

Aggro decks should not be healing, removing your board, AND dealing direct damage to your face (Hello Aggro DH/Altruis/Warrior?) IN THE SAME TURN.

In conclusion, all of these things combined have made the game an absolute joke.

You could argue that galak warlock, quest lock, galak priest and bomb warrior are control decks with win conditions.

Bomb Warrior is Tier 3 according to HSreplay so I’m not sure it counts. Also, I’m not sure which deck does 70+ face damage from hand but I’m pretty sure it’s very low tier as well as there indeed is a deck type missing currently (OTK).

HSreplay has Bomb Warrior listed as a tier 1 deck at BOTH Legend/High Legend rank.

I admit I didn’t realize that you are Legend/High Legend. Your post didn’t seem like something that a Legend/High Legend player would write but I guess I stand corrected in that case.

Oh, you meant over the course of the whole game as opposed to a single turn? OK, I guess that’s sorta kinda true from all the weapons.

Honestly I think the biggest issues in Hs right now is the crazy amount of board clears all classes have and the ridiculous mana cheating…

Demon Hunter does not have a crazy amount of board clears or mana cheating RNG. You must mean the other nine classes that establishment players restored to prominence by groveling for DH nerfs until the class was on life support. In fact, the way to tech against DH is to use a couple more taunts or restructure the deck to produce more spread. More taunt is the easy way. The devs knew this, which is why there is one base set card that allows DH to ignore taunt. They should have made it a non legendary.

Can DH put every kill spell into a deck? Yes, like any other class. Does it work? No

What makes board clear spells effective is the threat of everything else in the deck that threatens after the board clear. DH synergizes most with face decks, so you won’t see any viable DH decks currently that can build board, kill board, and draw.

It’s tier 3 in bronze to gold. Its the no1 deck in top 1000 legend

If you say control decks that do nothing but grind the opponent into submission are dead then maybe, yeah. I personally have a massive dislike for that playstyle so I’m loving it. Control decks exist but they are able to provide their own threats. The threats may come in the form of direct damage in the case of Warrior or Warlock but those classes still need to deal with your boards else the chip damage will wreck them.

Mage and Priest on the other hand rely on making a board but are obnoxious for random generation reasons. I dislike these decks.

But as I said, I didn’t realize that OP was high Legend as the original post didn’t read like something that a high legend player would post. Mea culpa.

Bomb warrior creates a board that has to kill itself so you kill yourself

Hsreplay doesn’t do all rank stats any more, something about them being irrelevant due to how different the meta is at different levels. More likely its so it forces you to pay to see relevant data but I’m a cynic like that :blush:

Funny you would complain about Demon Hunter when that class is literally the only one that doesn’t “double dip” or rely on casino RNG.

But back to your main point, this game is garbage. But, to be fair, if this game is a spoof of WoW, your “lost class identity” argument fits perfectly with the Warcraft narrative; every class feels the same in that game now too. Nobody ever gets card starved, which is also very similar to WoW’s current resource system.

Someone call me when lackeys, DQA, and Zephrys rotate out. If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times: Whatever happened to just playing the cards you put into your deck? What a novel idea for a card game!

Is it the same deck(list?) in both brackets?
Last weekend’s GM playoffs showed a different beast, an agressive Pain Warrior, as the most banned deck, with just Bomb Wrangler remaining from the bomb package. Yes, tournaments aren’t ladder, but I wonder how much the lists will influence Legend regardless. Here’s a Hearthpwn weblink about them (scroll down a bit):

The stats cover the archetype as a whole, not a specific list.

I think bomb is comparitavely better on ladder as it has a less polarised matchup spread whereas the Enrage lists are better against the specific archetypes seen in GM. That’s my understanding anyway.

Yes I finished at ~4,000 the most recent season end. Only reason it wasn’t higher is because I don’t have all day to invest in hearthstone like some folks do.

For those who didn’t know, it’s really not as hard as you think to get into high legend. That’s how little player interaction and strategy is involved.

All you need is above average game knowledge and experience, to play the most over-tuned/overpowered deck for the given meta, and a large amount of time to grind games.

Viola, you’re in legend.

It’s literally that easy, hence the 17,000+ people in legend. Legend today is widely overrated. Yes, even high Legend.

Top 1,000 is literally just people who’ve played long enough to know the ‘routine’.

Know how to not make sub-optimal plays.

And just so happen to have the TIME (and/or money) on their hands to invest in a game that is over-saturated with the issues listed in the original post.

I promise you, Legend is nothing like it used to be. You greatly overestimate it.
