Caverns of time do not buy

You will get duplicate cards and they will show up as new cards. Do not buy - total rip off.

Example: I actually have 2 golden copies this card, but it shows up as 2 different cards (caverns of time golden copy plus regular golden copy)

Another example - Acolyte of pain ‘New card’

Wrong. You won’t get duplicates from the few new cards.

Though if you already crafted the few new cards like the 4-mana c’thun minion with lifesteal you will only get duplicates, yes.

“do not buy” = vandalism.

you will with cards you already owned from previous expansions. Already had a Golden version of the Epic “Mysterious Challenger” from The Grand Tournament only to get another “Mysterious Challenger” now from caverns of time.

Now if I open a “Caverns” pack and get a copy of a legendary I owned from its original expansion that is a major problem.

Yes, but only if you get the few new cards in this set. Every class got three completely new cards and some new neutrals. Except DK and DH.

Only for old players and not for new players.

So we agree? It just doesnt feel right for a “Digital” card game to give me the same exact card that now counts as being from two different expansion

So if I were to open a a “Grand Tournament” and already owned “Confessor Paletress”, would I get a duplicate somehow or would it keep its “Grand Tournament” emblem giving me Dup-protection from it?

Or say I opened a “Grand Tournament” pack and didn’t already own “Confessor Paletress” and pulled it. I then Open a “Caverns of Time” get a random legendary but it turns out to be that same card again but now with the “caverns of time” emblem?

Someone new who would like to jump into twist probably want to buy both the caverns pack for the new cards, as well as the original expansions to get the cards that weren’t updated also subjecting them to possibly getting duplicates

No.

This set is very good for people who want to give wild a try, but less good for veteran players, but still not bad, because as I said you can get at least 34 new cards.

For example you have an Uther potrait, so I assume you’re paladin player and you can get Ruri, the time explorer, which is a new card only available in Caverns of time set.

I am not sure if this is dup-protection applies to this special set tbh., but if it does you wouldn’t get the same legendarys you already have, except if you have all cards (including the 34 new cards) from the set.

I have screenshots of it showing my collection with duplicates

Then you either have all new 34 cards, so you got a lot duplicates after that or B) the legendary protection rule don’t work with Caverns of time.

That would be a stretch in any Court in the land.
He expressed his opinion that the product was not worth buying, and recommended that others do not.
You have proven no damage.

He is entitled to his opinion, but it was not appropriate to share it on this forum.

Discussing the game is the only reason for these forums to exist. There is a major problem with the collection with this release. I’m warning others in the community not to fall victim to the bug until it’s corrected. If you are using a translator, it is not functioning correctly. ‘Vandalism’ is inappropriate for the context of this discussion.

This is not a discussion about a bug, this is vandalism.

(English is my first language.)

I do not want to get a card I already have again, with the only difference being its been given a different expansion emblem yet its basically the same card. Its such a slap in the face.
Worst part is even if they change it later some people would have already bought many packs now.

Honestly hoping it is a bug but that seems unlikely.

This statement is an oxymoron.

They have every right to share their take so long as they avoid profanity, personal attacks, or other violations of the conduct.

Telling people “don’t waste your money on caverns of time” is not vandalism.

vandal

noun

  1. A person who needlessly destroys or damages other people’s property.

adjective

  1. Of the particular ancient Germanic tribe.
  2. Carelessly destructive.

vandalism

văn′dl-ĭz″əm

noun

  1. Willful or malicious damage or destruction of the property of another.
  2. The conduct of Vandals.
  3. [lowercase] Willful or ignorant destruction of artistic or literary treasures; hostility to or irreverence or contempt for what is beautiful or venerable.

Unless you are attributing the OP to be of a Germanic Tribe of the past, and im really stretching here, or you are attributing the new set to be beautiful or venerable in some way.

But unless you are explicitly calling the new set a thing of beauty that OP is hostile toward or having contempt for… this is not vandalism, nor is the OP a Vandal.

I see no evidence of them damaging the set, perhaps contempt but that alone isnt what you claim it to be.

How is a warning, an opinion, in any way, damage or destruction?

Look what you made me do.
Look what you made me do.

I quoted Mallenroh!

If your logic is to be applied as true, then George Lucas and Disney have a solid vandalism case against everyone that ever spoke ill of The Prequels and Sequels to Star Wars. Do you want to live in that world where having an opinion is being labelled as something you can be taken to court over? Thats what you are advocating by misunderstanding what Vandalism means and what OP said. Id go so far as to say it is nearly impossible unless it would be insider trading or similar, to even commit vandalism with just written words on this forum. (not spray painted words on a wall irl, mind you, these type pixels on this type forum).

This is a deliberate attempt to damage their brand.

I don’t have to prove damage if the intent was to damage.

This forum is for Hearthstone; telling people not to buy their product is vandalism, when it’s posted here.

No, its an opinion of buyer beware. Not a willful intentional attempt to damage the brand. That would need something like telling lies about the purchase such as it makes your package smaller and your dog dies and your truck leaves you if you purchase these packs. Satire aside, it’d need to meet a much higher bar than what you are setting it at.

So when someone has a bad experience with their Dodge Caravan whatever year it is, and they go onto the Dodge provided forums where people discuss all things Dodge, and say they would never buy another one again and suggest no one else does either based on their experience… they are guilty of vandalism too? because let me tell ya. this is the internet. and brands want those things said on their platforms and not others, because of the nature of how communities exist in bubbles and people arent normally gonna go on an ad campaign to engage in taking down their brand with their experience. We all know someone will post their negative experience once and get their catharsis from it and move on and their post will prolly never be seen outside of maybe a couple dozen folk. SO no, just because its on these forums doe not make it vandalism. if it were stated on reddit or twitter, the same words, would just have been an opinion because thats all it has been here too.

In fact, your outlook would mean all reviews on all websites where purchases are made that arent 5 stars would be vandalism too.
