Cards are immune and can still be eaten…

How is it that you can play the Jailer card that destroys your deck and makes all your cards on the field of play immune, and then opponent plays a card that eats all your cards on the field of play and you are left with nothing. What the hell is the point of immune cards if they can still be killed.

Well that is definition of immune in hearthstone. From hearthstone wiki:

Immune is an ability that prevents characters from receiving any damage, and prevents the opponent from specifically targeting them with any type of action. However, it does not prevent destroy, restore Health, or other non-damaging effects on Immune characters, which can still be affected by randomly or automatically targeted effects, including area of effect.

I mean you need cards/actions to counter immune minions. Otherwise it would be too op.

If Immune was unable of getting destroyed by anything, Jailer would be played on every single deck.

Sometimes some thinking can justify why an effect would work a certain way.
