Can't open packs, can't get rid of packs

I have these two packs i didn’t want but they were forced onto me, and I can’t open them because it says to do so I need to complete a tutorial for another game mode I have zero/negative interest in. Will these packs I never wanted and can’t open stay unopened and show packs needing to be opened, for the rest of my hearthstone account? Or will this be fixed sometime soon? I know it’s silly but I really don’t want to play because of this annoyance. Past times the packs were never forced and unable to be opened, they were quests you could reroll or they allowed you to just open the packs if they were forced, but not this time for some reason, I guess. Hope they fix it soon so I can be less annoyed about it and feel like playing again, thanks

They are for a game called mercenaries btw, but I only play hearthstone

I dont believe they will do much about it, if you want to get rid of them you can either ignore them or just quickly complete the mercenaries tutorial, its not insanely long, plus you might even like it.

Not sure why they didn’t give them when you finish the tutorial… like, i don’t have adventure packs blocked till i complete the adventure, but i play the adventure and then i get a pack.

I am in your same situation: not interested in mercenaries, deleted the legendary quest and i have these 2 useless packs.
I just don’t care about them: it’s just a number on the screen, that would still be there because i am keeping standard packs

This to me is a weird thing to complain about, because in little more than the time it took you to post this thread you could have completed the tutorial and gotten rid of the packs,

The point is OP doesn’t want to play that mode; probably because mercenaries isn’t HS

as far as i know those packs wont stop you from earning or buying new packs for HS

so there is no harm leaving sitting there

I can’t ignore them, there’s a constant 2 on the open packs icon. I also have zero/negative amount of interest in mercenary mode, sorry. Not gonna complete the tutorial for it. This is the first time they have forced un-openable packs onto us in such a way, it is a huge insult and slap in the face to a player like me. In the past there was always an option to opt out of this type of thing.

Anyways, I uninstalled for good, so it’s no more problem.

How is getting free packs an insult? Sounds like the reason to uninstall goes much deeper than that.

I spend like 10 seconds in the main menu, then I just click “hearthstone” and I select a deck to play.
Is that 2 on the screen really a problem when it isn’t visible unless you are afk in the main screen?

Even if you have OCD or whatever, I think you can try to fight this thing and forget about this little number

You’re absolutely right, this is what is commonly referred to as “the last straw”, I played HS for many years and the past two have been especially egregious, to say the least. But I don’t want to rant about it right now, suffice to say, like I said, I uninstalled and probably for good this time tbh. And getting free packs that can’t be opened is an insult, yes, and even worse, an annoyance. I won’t get into it, but the way they forced it on us this time, I can’t stand for that.

Well, for one, the tutorial is bugged and many people find that after they complete it, they still can’t open the packs. And two, Mercenaries sucks and it takes way too long to finish the stupid tutorial.

I am guessing it’s not bothering you enough, otherwise you would do whatever it takes to get rid of them =)

Well, I am bothered by it, and I did do what it takes to get rid of them, I uninstalled for good many weeks ago. Though I don’t think that’s really what they were going for by forcing “free” un-openable packs for a different game…

@Jasmeralia, like I said in my OP I know it’s silly, but if you really don’t see the problem with how they went about things for this, idk what to tell you except think about it some more. And yeah I’ve been playing and enjoying a lot of D2R, thanks :slight_smile:

Especially other people posting about something they don’t like about the game. There should be a term for people who unironically complain about complaining. No one made you click on the thread, and no one made you stay.

As for the people flaming the op, try reading the TOS some time, it applies to you, even when you shill for the company (which is especially egregious right now, considering who you are standing up for). All because someone doesn’t like their newest pet project that flopped.

No one will hire you for abusing people who say they are dissatisfied with the current state of affairs, and honestly from everyone who has gone public, would you really want to work there?
