Can't click anything after launching, Win10 ver

Sometimes when I launch Hearthstone, it loads up normally and seems to be fine, but I can’t click on anything in the window. I’ve tried tabbing out and restarting, but even restarting sometimes reproduces the problem. I’ve most commonly seen this is caused by Discord overlay, but I don’t use it or any other overlays that take control of Hearthstone.

If I hit escape or other keybinds, the game registers them, just can’t click anything at all. Has anyone ever experienced this? It only seems to happen on my laptop, never seen it on my main desktop computer or mobile devices. I’ve tried with all manner of input devices (a mouse, touch pad, and an active pen) and none of it registers when the problem occurs.

Hey angelar,

There might be another program or service running that is conflicting with the mouse input. Try rebooting using Selective Startup and then see if that prevents it from happening.

  1. Press Windows Key+R.
  2. Type msconfig and press Enter.
  3. Select Selective startup and uncheck Load startup items.
  4. Select the Services tab.
  5. Check Hide all Microsoft services.
    Note: Skipping this step may prevent your computer from rebooting correctly.
  6. Click Disable all.
  7. Click Apply then click OK.
  8. Click Restart.

If that helps then you can go back in and enable things a few at a time in order to narrow down what might be causing it.
