As we’re all given the new coreset for free, what if we disenchant cards which are part of it that we already own right now? We should get them for free then with the next patch, right?
Looks like this is a way to make a lot of dust…
I wouldn’t unless you really need the dust now for some reason.
The core set will rotate in a year and you won’t get the cards back.
The new cards aren’t exactly replacing the cards you have, they will go next to their copies in your collection as “unique” but temporary versions.

Okay but if I can play with them the next 365 days, there is no reason to keep all the dust just in case I want to play them in wild somewhen after one year. If I want then, I can still craft those that I need/want. If I keep playing standard, I will be given the new coreset for free again and don’t care for anything that rotates out.
If you are more of a standard player then sure dust them up (just in case don’t dust legendary and epics)
And if you enjoy wild and duel mode then don’t dust anything.

Can dust most of it if you don’t play wild .
Personally im keeping most staple cards that often provide broken combo for wild tavern brawls and for duels . Disenchanting the rest .
You can safely dust all the classic garbage and send it to the bucket if you play in standard mode in standard. Dust boldly all cards are classic.

Blizzard was made in such a way that in the standard mode the classic cards are no longer needed. There is no point in keeping them. Feel free to send everything to fairy dust.

Do we need to enchant them before the expansion comes out or can we do it anytime?
Someone said that we just get the core set in kind of a “side collection” that is disenchantable. How do they distinguish collected cards from the free collection if it’s the same one?

Blizzard said. You will spray all the classic cards and get, say, 20,000 magic dust. All of these cards will appear in a new 3 classic mode. You won’t lose anything. Classic Mode maps completely move from Standard Mode to Classic Mode 3.

This is misinformation, you need to keep your Classic cards to play them in Classic Mode/format.
The Core Set version is usable in Standard and Wild only.

You don’t need to save anything. All classic maps go into the new “Classic Mode 3” that no one wants. The point is to keep the classic cards? I only play in standard mode. I’m a standard mode fighter. I am not interested in what happens outside of standard mode. Moreover, if you spray all the classic cards. They will all appear on April 1, 2021 in new mode 3. There will be no losses!
Which leaves the standard mode on April 1, 2021. 1. The whole classic set of cards. 2. Additions: 1. Retribution of shadows; 2. Uldum; 3. Dragons. 3. Adventure: Awakening Galakrond. All of this comes out of Standard Mode on April 1, 2021, or leaves Standard Mode. I will spray it all, because all these cards will stop playing and go all into the bucket.
So much magic dust for standard mode.
I have already prepared a bucket. All of these cards will go to the trash bin. Everything will turn into fairy dust. It’s fine.
If you disenchant a card, in the future, you will no longer have access to it for:
- Classic format (you can only use cards you actually own there. Can’t use Core set cards.)
- Tavern Brawl (unless it’s part of the Core set)
- Duels (we don’t know if the Core set or Legacy set will be used in Duels)
- Wild (unless it’s in the Core set in that particular year)
- Solo Adventures (some Heroic missions may be made easier when you own particular Legacy cards)
- Any future mode that can use Legacy cards
Setting aside the fact that this is highly nonsensical, if I interpreted it correctly, it’s a blatant lie. No one is getting cards back, especially not for the new Classic format. We’re getting cards in the Core set that will be available for use for only a year and only on the Wild and Standard ladders, not on the new Classic ladder.

We must learn to read carefully. I REPEAT. WHO PLAYS ONLY IN STANDARD FORMAT. WHO PLAYS IN STANDARD format and who has enough battlefields. THERE MUST BE ALL CLEAR! I repeat 1001 times. All these cards listed above are NOT NECESSARY!
NOT NECESSARY CARDS ARE SENT ALL IN A BUCKET and YOU GET DUST FROM THEM!

i disenchanted all of them for classes i will never be playing and i got a lot of dust.

Everything is correct cards in the bucket. This makes great dust for the new season in Standard Mode games.
i also disenchanted all cards for these classes from rotating sets and together with classic pack i get 8000 dust, thats 5 legendaries

8000 dust is decent dust. I got 15,000 dust. You will open boxes and receive new cards. Go to the reward line and farm gold. You can buy a mega package. The mega package will remove half of the problems by 50 percent. Spend 8000 dust on a LARGE deck. BIG deck in the top 3 decks that will appear on April 1, 2021, even if not all cards are in the deck. The cards that are not enough will come over time and you will have the best deck.
You need to put 8000 magic dust into a BIG deck that will play 100 percent and will not bore you for a long time.
You will get a huge amount of experience from 100 to 250 experience in certain games and quickly get unavailable cards for your BIG deck.
Putting in a small amount of fairy dust correctly is the path to success and there is no need to rush. Explore the new meta on April 1, 2021, and you don’t have to build a big deck in the early days of April.
That’s no problem because all of these modes suck, and the Tavern Brawl I just play once a week for the classic pack. The only thing in this game that is really good are standard and arena.
I looked up this question because something peculiar happened to me right now. I was disenchanting my golden cards when I unsuspectingly started disenchanting golden core cards… and I remembered a couple I disenchanted and double checked. My golden copies of cone of cold and ice barrier are gone. I was confused when i saw the druid card Cenarius disenchantable for 1600 and i thought it was uncraftable. Turns out it is. I missed a GOLDEN oppurtunity… anyway. Maybe keep this under wraps because they nickel and dime players already…
