Can someone explain the razorscale card mechanic?

Can someone explain the razorscale card mechanic? It states- “cards cant cost less than 2” can someone please claridy how this translate into gameplay for me? Thank you.

Cards that cost 0 or 1 mana are all raised to 2 mana. This is caused by the aura effect of the minion while it is on the field.

So if the Razorscale is on the field the Coin has a cost of 2 mana. Shadowstep as well.

I.e. it did exactly what it says.

It makes most decks worse if there’s no specific meta reason (i.e. if there’s no guarantee the OPPONENTS are specific).

E.g. a rogue was played a lot with 0 cost and 1 cost cards and that card just killed but then people stopped playing it.
