I’m sitting on 211 unopened packs and 26,210 gold. I don’t care about traditional Hearthstone in the slightest. I’d love to be able to spend this gold on boards, hero portraits, attacks, or emotes. Just give me something, please.

I don’t see why Blizz hasn’t done something with Hearth as they have in OW with the Premium and Earnable Currencies. In OW, everything can be purchased with the Premium currency. But most things can also be purchased with the Earnable Currency as well.
IMO, it should really be the same way here. Let people save their gold to buy hero skins. That would be dope af for everyone, I think. They could leave the newest shop items out of the pool of items you can purchase with Earnable Currency, that way they can still have their monetization.
