Brutally Honest about Signature cards

I understand the idea about having a card that can fully display art work, however, I am honestly not impressed with the signature cards at all. They feel incomplete to be honest.

Had the cards been filled in with complete colour than it would have been more impressive, but the cards are so monotone that the name of the card and the description of the card cancel out the concept of what they were trying to accomplish.

Like if they had it where the description of the card was hidden and would pop out when you hovered over the description area, than that would have been impressive, then would have been able to appreciate the art work.

But as it currently stands, it just seems like a half baked idea that just falls flat. Like when you open your pop and 5 hours later you take a sip and it’s Warm and FLAT. that’s how these cards feel.

Also, I feel that the two Golden Legendary cards that came with the Previous Mega Bundles were of greater Value than these Signature cards. It’s like Blizzard is trying to Sell us on the Signature cards trying to make it seem like they are better than Golden Legendries when that is so far from reality.

If there was a poll conducted right now that wanted to find out if players would take 2 Golden Legendries vs 2 Signature cards, Hands down people would take the Golden Legendary cards, because #1 They look Way better than the Ugly signature cards #2 You can actually Dust them and use them to craft cards you don’t have in your deck where Signature cards is just a bait and switch tactic for Blizzard to shrink the overall value of the Mega bundle, secretly trying to increase sales by reducing the amount of DUST players get.

Yep… They are ugly. And being unable to disenchant them feels bad. Simply got a signature for Demon Hunter but i dont even play Demon Hunter. :skull::skull::skull:

Got a signature overlord drakuru in one of my packs and it looks UG-LAY AF

Who thought these looked good?

I personally think not only does the actual card and border design fall flat, but they look like they have way worse artwork than the normal versions of those cards

I have to agree that I’m not convinced with the new card type. Golden cards look way better to me and are dustable, so from my perspective clearly to be prefered.

They have a colour scheme based on the expansion; for some reason, this expansion colour scheme is very very bad.
They look like when I search for a missing card in my collection.

With that being said, I do think the new Death Knight cards look amazing. 100 times better than the signature cards.

I have zero idea why one would choose “terrible color and design” for “the new amazing card art type we’re trying to get everyone excited for!”

Except it’s team 5 and actiblizz, so putting your best foot forward is an alien concept to them.

How can some random guy on twitter make better card designs than an entire AAA company. Smh

same reason one disabled guy in his garage made classic wow (one example among many) while the wow’s lead and dev team were crying “it couldn’t be done” for years.

It’s because this company lost its ability to do quality and innovation a long time ago, and no longer hires top tier talent.

Seems like the solution to the unhappiness most players have with the new signature cards is to add color and animations to them?

It’s really this.
Make them colourful and animated and they would look like premium cards.

If they really want to keep the “undead” them, they can work more on how to make them appealing.
Leaving them uncoloured isn’t being thematic

The art is garbage. Blizzard is known for their colorful high quality art, they are really going downhill fast. Add to that not being able to open packs on expansion day, people should be fired.

I got Overlord Drakaru’s signature legendary card, and there is nothing signature about him. I don’t even know what I’m looking at. He is just some troll. I like card artwork because I can just look at the card and know what it does, but with signature cards I have to read the card effect every single time. And the worst part is I can’t disenchant them. I have to play with the lame artwork if I want Overlord Drakaru in my deck, that or re-craft the normal version. It’s just a feels bad moment. Blizzard, please do something about signature cards.

To me, it feels like a scam. This may not have been the intention (or maybe it was). You pay for a golden deck and you get an increased chance for a legendary, but the cards are bland and make buying golden packs feel flat. They should minimally give you the option to chose or disenchant. Now as a collector, you have to keep buying packs or craft the golden legendaries you really want.

Blizz - let us have the choice please!

Simply giving us the option to take the golden legendaries would be enough in my eyes. The artwork is way better than signature cards.
