why has this issue not been fixed yet? having to log out and then back in every time I would like to see how i’m progressing on my quests, is something that should not have to be done. You guys have the man power to fix this why is this still an issue?

Don’t worry, they’ll fix this issue.
6 months to 5 years from now. 
It’s annoying, but it’s technically not a problem. If people are still getting quest progress, then it’s not hotfix material.
A player can stay for hours on the same session, having the delusion they still need progress.
If the Devs think like you then their awareness of common player problems is very low.
