I hadn’t read much about why MS wanted to buy Actibliz, but this article gives some insight.

It’s a fluff opinion piece to be sure, but it gives an idea of where the complany plans to take things.

FTC are being hilariously hypocritical. It’s ok when Embracer or Tencent buys up American companies and amasses vast market share of the Games Industry, but Microsoft (who has a smaller share than either of those companies) tries to buy a deeply troubled company that has been in a downward spiral for a decade and suddenly its a monopolistic consolidation because Sony might not get to have CoD on playstation.
Get real, Sony is bribing both the FTC and the EU trade commission to block this. I hope people pay attention to the “financial donations” Sony makes in the months and years ahead. Such a slimy, hypocritical company. They’ve spent years trying to exclusify third party games as much as they can and as soon as the shoe is on the other foot they try to play victim while the rest of the Games Industry correctly points out that there’s nothing negative about Microsoft going from Number 4 game Company to Number 3.
Sony fans and latte-sipping slacktivist socialists cheering on this decision just let everybody else know how uninformed they really are.

You feel called out? Sorry, but most of the people I saw online cheering on the FTC decision are only doing it because they love sony or “game corporation bad” while ignoring how much of their lifestyle is contingent on monopolies that the FTC has allowed to grow.

Just shows that microsoft can grease the right palms, from workplace harassment suits to getting a monopoly. Not surprising, since disney has done the same thing for years.
ive been worried about this since they announced the acquisition
because i read somewhere activision is known for releasing multiplataform games and microsoft wants to stop this

Well good news, we don’t have to wait for Apple store to update HS anymore 
so perhaps we can speed the remaining patches up, until the last patch next year.
