Really? Brawliseum the first week of the new year? Most players will have opened 5 or so packs by today, making this just so very limited in their ability to make any kind of decent deck to be able to play with.
Very disappointed in whoever made the choice for this week’s brawl.
I agree. I hate Brawliseum so much.
If you set up a brawl like this why not just open all the cards for everyone so people can have a FAIR chance? The way it’s set up now is the pay to win people just have too much of an advantage.

So we can play the brawliseum while the game is fresh.
There is no point at it when everyone knows what will happen.
Also people that not feel confortable with their collections can just take their pack and wait for next time.
No one really loses except for entitled people that thinks that every single choice should be made around their needs.
Sometimes i miss downvote option despite of understand how toxic it was being used.
I’m not asking for things to be handed to us. Just seems like a terrible idea when you have such a limited choice of new cards because you didnt buy into the preorder sale.
I’d like to be entitled to not get a x5 gold reward from the brawl. I hate when my gold count ends in 5.

I still hate Brawliseum (seriously devs, there’s already an Arena mode. How do you keep forgetting?), but if it’s a curse that is forced to happen at some point anyway, I prefer the first week. I went in with Whizbang and got 9 wins without even trying! My losses were mostly because they were horrible match-ups (last loss was Dragon Warrior vs non-Whizbang Shaman Murloc).
Whizbang is the only thing that makes Brawliseum kind of tolerable, and Whizbang is best during the first week, so this was the best possible moment for Brawliseum.
I echo the opinion that this is garbage specially to have it so early. It seems to me this is more of their way to increase the money they suck from people. $50 not enough? Offer an $80 worthless ‘deal’. Need more and you already paid for both? Give them $10 for 9 packs an arena ticket that most likely will give you one pack. Still want more? Then wait a while so you can pay $20 for less packs than what you would get by spending the gold equivalent!
Oh and hey that sweet brawliseum is free the first time to try, like a dealer offering you a sample bc after losing you may feel incline to pay more.
Arena and all Arena TBs are trash in every shape and form. Doesn’t Blizz get that some people hate arena?
Arena is always there for those that do like it. Forcing it on the general player base is just one more example of Blizz’ horrible customer service.
On top of that I didn’t even get the stupid 5 gold to balance the one I got last time. Should be automatic.

This was such a wacky idea that I decided to give it a shot. I went 5-3 which is better than pretty much every other deck I ever ran in a Brawliseum, LOL.
It also showed me that the non-murloc Shaman deck recipe is not half bad.
The best thing, though, was being able to brawl with a different deck every time instead of being stuck with whatever deck I built for the occasion. As long as you’re not serious about trying to get the top prizes, I totally give Whizbang Brawliseum a thumbs up!
Yes. Completely justified considering a particular play mode is forced on us. For the duration of this TB, that’s an opportunity cost of 500g for some people that heavily play TB and no other mode.

It is not “forced” on you. At all.
If you hit the autocomplete button and immediately retire, you get your pack. Yes, not every Tavern Brawl is designed solely for your personal enjoyment at the exclusion of all other possible playstyles. That’s not a problem, except with you.
Yeah, why don’t they stick a needle in our veins and bleed us dry? Brawl and Arena sure looks similar doesn’t it. In my case I have a daily that says win 3 tavern brawls. Looks like I have to wait till tomorrow to change that. There is no way I’ll win 3 of them. Always been one win only.
Hell in a year’s time I’ve only won 20 Arenas. Do you think I play Arena anymore? Come on enough with the cash cow already.
Its a cash grabbing company company. Sadly they do make billions a year off the cash grabbing ways. So there will be many P2Ws playing chase the ace and buying decks to negate the power creep.
Getting stompy stomped in Brawlesium is a good way to psychic scream players into “I need more powerful cards! I need more packs! Buy buy buy!”
