i dont understand the complaint

you dont need to win to get your pack

Brawliseum has been happening once or twice a year for years. A lot of players happen to enjoy such a mode and what players choose to spend is their business.

You don’t need to win for rewards and with all the dust we’ve received from HoF, there is literally no excuse as to why you don’t have a RoS deck…out of all the brawls we’ve had over the last few years, you can’t let players have fun in brawliseum?

Maybe players spend money on it because it isn’t a common brawl…

If I wanted to play Arena the first week of an expansion, I’d play Arena the first week. This is also like the 3rd Brawlisium in a not very long span of time.

I want a Brawl, something interesting and different from normal gameplay modes.

The devs can go sit on it and rotate for this.

It’s day two. This brawliseum is a fantastic opportunity for deckbuilding in an environment where the meta isn’t solved yet.

Wacky stuff can come later. This is EXACTLY the time for a Standard competitive environment.

If your response is “I never want brawliseum” then that isn’t how Tavern Brawl works. They are for a variety of different play styles and personalities. You do not get exclusive rights to your way being the only way.

Sure, being locked into a single deck until you crash out, and then having to buy your way back in, is an awesome and unique game mode. They should have something like that year round, even!

…oh, wait, what’s this? A mysterious button here named ‘Arena’.

Arena is draft, this isn’t. Do you really not understand the difference?

Frankly I don’t give a rats rump either way. It having an entry fee is asinine and the gameplay is no different then standard.

Brawlsium is trash and a waste of a Brawl window.

You’re welcome to dislike it, but other people do like it. Nobody will enjoy every week’s Brawl.

While I agree that Brawliseum is much more gratifying than the Classic pack most Tavern Brawls provide, given the free run everyone receives, it isn’t just about the rewards.

Many people love to play Tavern Brawls for a wide variety of reasons. Brawliseum turns what is meant to be the fun, wacky mode into a hyper-competitive ladder environment, such that many people feel they cannot play Tavern Brawl for the week, after completing their first run or immediately retiring.

Play Mode already exists for people who want to play Constructed decks, and the Arena already exists for people who want to play a gauntlet for increasingly better rewards. If necessary to satisfy those who want both simultaneously, Brawliseum can even be implemented separately from Tavern Brawls so that it can be active for greater periods and in conjunction with real Brawls; but the idea – not my personal opinion, although I do agree with the rationale – is that it should not detract from them.

Yes, not everyone will like every Tavern Brawl. However, Brawliseum is not a Tavern Brawl.

Your opinion is noted, just like everyone else’s. I’m not much of a fan of this, but I’ve never seen streamers so excited to play RR Brawliseum (gimmick Brawliseum).

There are also players who wanted tournament style game play. There are also players who complained netdeck being prevalent in the game, or complain that netdecks will be prevalent soon after new expansion release. I presume Brawliseum being held this early in the expansion (normally it was 2 weeks after release, apart from RR one of course) might scratch their itchy part.

So basically it is this,

no matter how you want to put it.

hear2!!!

This thing put a terror in our heart everytime they give us free arena run and brawliseum.

I understand the frustration, but I also understand why people that bought and opened a lot of packs would enjoy the brawliseum in the first days afterwards before the meta is settled.

I craft a golden whizbang.

rack me 2 win. but since I spend a whooping 0$, it wasnt bad.

Oh im sure people who fight me think “Whoa, third day and all gold. Damn P2W”

Man, it’s all about money, because:

  1. Brawliseum is profitable itself, when a normal brawl is not
  2. A player, who has opened few packs yet and wants to be competitive in this will be forced to donate, so it’s also profit

Bobby Kotick needs your money

instead of 40 dust, you get a pack, golds AND dust, how can any sane player complain about this brawl?
