Boycott quests if you don't like them

I’ve said before, hearthstone should allow players to ban up to 3 specific cards of their choice so they don’t need to face them on ladder.

I take pride in beating quest decks. Doesn’t always work, but feels good if it does.

Yup just play Face Hunter you really can’t lose if you know what you are doing.

9-0 against quest mages today it is a good feeling.

You are artificially inflating the win%, and creating misleading stats, of Quest decks by just auto-conceding if you see a quest. Of the 3 classes you mention, 2 are barely Tier 2 at slightly over 50% (Mage and Shaman), while Warlock is a sub-par Tier 3 deck in the 45-47% range. All 3 are falling daily in win%. All 3 are classes I have great win% against. Of the 3, Shaman is the only class that has any good Non-Quest decks.

What rank are you playing at? I’m just curious because of your experiences. I not Legend or anything, but have had plenty of success against these 3 Quest decks. My DH deck tends to have issues with Mages sometimes. Other than that, I do quite well for myself.

And that’s exactly the point. They track “non-games” and seek to get them out of the meta.

This has nothing to do beating the decks, it has to do with seeing them too often.

Quests need to go.

I play this game for a long time and I could tell that the main problem is overplayability of any deck. This is what creates most of the bad experiences. If you face hard-counter once per around 7 games it is not that bad compared to playing against it few times in a row. Blizz should enforce a filter that prevent you for 5 games from playing against the same class. Even meta-warping decks could exist in such enviroment without being nerfed cause they couldn’t kill entire archetypes by just existing.

That would be “rigged” and not in keeping with the rules we have about matching opponents.

I would never advocate for any intervention beyond the current elo systems they use.

It would be just simple +1 to queue (skip this guy) if in past five games you faced this class. Nothing serious I would say but could help a lot with bad experiences.

Edit. Already there is code that tinkers with match-making, it prevents you from playing the same guy two times in a row. It happened a lot some time ago in Wild (playing the same guy second time) but now it’s fixed and not many people even know about it.

I auto concede soon as mage plays the quest … it’s not even fun to play against. The draw power of the deck is way too good on top of infinite damage.

Is it still boycotting if I wait to see if they test for OMY before playing their quest before I decide to concede?

Cause yeah, the 1/10 times that happens vs mage is probably my main source of enjoyment on ladder right now.

wouldn’t that encourage those people to play them more?

If everyone boycotted quests and auto conceded to them…then everyone would want to play quests.

That limits you to… literally nothing depends on how look at things

I refuse to patronize the business that others are referring to here.

And then they would be nerfed or removed. They have clearly told us in the past that play rate and “non-games” are reasons to change or remove cards.

It would be the same as when everyone played tickatus intentionally to try to get it removed or changed.

I really don’t see enough players participating in this specific boycott to any avail. It’s an admirable behavior, and self-preserving; however, this will likely not result in what you’d like it to, alas. What might have the desired results is if enough players quit in correlation with Stormwind so as to motivate change. So, in this way, you may get your wish, only by a different method beyond you.

Just because you don’t see the non games doesn’t mean they aren’t out there. I am certain plenty of people without even seeing this thread are conceding to many of the quests.

Do you truly believe this boycott will (not might) have the desired effect? What is the change you’d like to see exactly?

Edited for clarification.

No idea.

Don’t care.

Just encouraging others to put fun over ranking.

I don’t like anything about any of the quest lines. They are designed in a way that people don’t play their opponent, they play their quest and gg.

Well, I hope it works out for you (us (I’m also tired)). I certainly don’t have anything against anyone that insists on climbing (that’s what fun may be for them).
