Bots have plagued Standard

Played on an old account with x3 Bonus Star so it was a long climb to get back to Diamond.

I am not exaggerating when I say that the real people I faced I could count with just my fingers. All the other 50-ish games were against third-party bots.

I think that Blizzard bots should be reintroduced to the game again because I was facing bots even on high Platinum.

It’s stopped now but I played an abundance of games to reach this. And it’s not like the Blizzard bots which if you have a good win-rate you can dodge them and play real people, these are unavoidable.

This account was in the American server so I don’t know if this is how things are here now, but in Europe this would have never happened. In Europe I would face real people immediately after ending the Apprenticeship.

Has anyone else had such an experience or am I the only one.
As for how I knew they were bots, they played the usual bot-cards like Yeti, the 2/1 Murloc and the 5/5 Tiger, it was glaringly obvious.

This is nonsense.

How is it nonsense exactly …
I saw it with my eyes.

No it’s not. I made Legend on the 4th of this month and encountered this bot multiple times while climbing. I played literally 1 human each in Silver, Gold and Platinum, the rest were bots with decks like this.

Can confirm this happened to me in low diamond.

I’ve played these cards myself, not because I put them in my deck, but because I discovered them with an excavate treasure.

The idea that you can detect bots because of the cards in their deck is ridiculous. Anyone can include these cards in their decks because they are core cards, exactly the kind that a beginner would use.

I’ve seen just about everything, & even things that contradict other “tells”, that “prove” your opponent is a bot.

I think this is a massive case of confirmation bias.

So what you are saying is … that your experience has absolutely nothing to do with mine
?
“People” are main decking these cards while also taking the same amount of time to play cards, end their turn, attack with the minions etc.

If anything if one played against this for 50 games and didn’t find something amiss they would either be looking past it on purpose or have a mental problem … or would be blind.

Especially one that has played Wild and seen how third-party bots act, they would be able to immediately distinguish that these are also third-party bots.

I don’t understand what you are trying to refute, especially when Blizzard itself has attested to the botting problem.

It’s either gibberish names or Chinese characters.
Add in the fact that they have a certain very distinguishable play pattern, it’s very easy to spot a bot and these all, were definitely ones.

At this point you’ve told us that you haven’t played any games of Standard this month on the Americas server, without telling us that you haven’t played any games of Standard this month on the Americas server.

The players also always have generic [adjective][noun] names. Every time.

Are you sure about that, GigaStrike?

How dare you? That is [adjective][verb].

Right, because when the umpire yells “strike 2!” it should always be interpreted as a command to find a written number 2 and cross it out. Or hit it with a melee attack

Next bit.

I think you are mistaken.

I play Standard every day on the American server.

Again, you are looking for patterns that don’t exist; this time me.

The struggle is real. Bots exist.

How would you know I am mistaken unless you know yourself the play pattern of bots …
Grasping at straws here.

Are you trying to tell me ShinyPants is a bot? C’mon now.

There is no play pattern of bots.

Honestly I don’t even care for the bots.
I am just questioning their decision to remove the Blizzard ones and allow these to become more prevalent.

The most annoying part being the rope, every turn rope to try and fool the system that they are human, very tiring experience climbing low ranks now …
