I was using the new Blood Treant with my The Demon Seed deck and the health cost didn’t activate the quest for Warlock. Is this a known bug??
It’s purposeful. They changed the way paying health instead of mana works a little while ago, so now it doesn’t count as taking damage. It seems likely that this card was designed before the change, but it’s hard to say what they were thinking.

I had the same issue. I would like to know a bit more why it was designed this way. Looks to me like a flaw. There are other card in with case you can use health instead of mana and they still work with the demon seeds questline.
I don’t think that’s the case. If so, it may be a bug. Which cards are you referring to?
