Anyone else agree that there should be a block option in Battlenet friends list so that you can avoid playing the same net decks over and over and over? I will always send a friend request to an original deck builder but would like to have a block player option to avoid repetitive net decks. I win against a lot of them with my deck but it’s just so repetitive and BORING. I am to the point where conceding is the better option rather than play against the same decks over and over. This game is so much fun when you go up against a new deck you haven’t seen before but playing against repetitive decks over and over and over makes for a bad player experience in my opinion. Please Blizzard give us the option to block a player.
How would you know if a player plays both netdecks and original decks and that day they choose to play a netdeck?
You just blocked a player which could choose to play an original deck the next day.
They probably mean meta decks (a shockingly high portion of the community doesn’t know the difference). It’s unlikely blocking players would ever make a difference even if it were implemented though.
You can’t allow players to block other players in a competitive environment or players could just block everyone who is better
It could work in casual, though it seems unlikely that it will ever happen
What do you mean everyone who is better? How can someone be better at a coinflip?
This will never happen, because it can easily be abused, as mentioned before people would just block anyone who beats them. The only why this could be even remotely viable is putting a limit on how many people you can block.
That’s not solving your problem OP. Players are thousands. Chances are you “took care” of 0.001% of your problem so you practically did nothing for your experience.
You remind me of people wanting to ban others from playing with them in BG Duos,
they will keep coming back however many of them you block.
The blocking option won’t work, but I agree with the repetitiveness getting extremely boring.
Similar games I have played solved this problem with more regular updates. And they update cards not just because of its power, but also by how often it is played.
But in Hearthstone, that would cause another problem. As they would probably remove the extra dust we would get from nerfed cards.
So I am not sure what the best solution would be.
