Oh, do tell. I enjoy a good story.
Dâoh! You were always one of the few fellas whoâd be able to post pictures of newly released cards, too.
Well thatâs going to make card releases just a twinge more annoying.
My ban actually happened mid-release lol. Plenty of others had everything covered though.
They just donât want to police the forums because that means they have to pay someone to do it. It cuts into the multi million dollar bonusâs to pay some College Students to make sure that the Trust Level 3 privilege isnât misused. God forbid they lose out on like 100k of like a 10 million dollar bonus to pay a few people and thatâs with a generous pay rate for that work and I donât mean 100k each I mean 100k total for a number of people.
This is also the main reason why nobody even uses these forums. They all use 3rd party stuff like Redit because they arenât tied by corporate politicking and random BS like the official forums are.
is true anyone getting suspended for first or minor offenses becomes permanently unable to post links ?
I had TL3 once. When I had 550 or so posts, and seemed to be reading a lot. Unlike Wardrum, one 24h silence and post removed, and afterwards, I realised TL3 was gone. That was back in Dec. I sent in multiple tickets but the responses I kept getting, seemed to be from Blizzard support in general and other forums like WoW, where it has been noted that regaining TL3 is possible.
With how the HS forum guide worded it, it seems like if you ever got suspended or silenced, TL3 is out for you. Still canât quite confirm that. Iâm been tracking from a screenshot I took on Feb 7 of my summary stats. Thatâs like 80 days ago? Iâve read 1.5k+ topics since then and 16k posts, so maybe thatâs the only one still lacking (need 20k read posts from the last 100 days). Recent read time is up to 3 days now (it was stuck at 1d for a long while). Maybe itâs time to send another ticket to Blizzard.
Also a question, when you go to your profile summary page, does it say âTrust Level memberâ on it? Ursa, Bowser and I were thinking a while back that may be an actual indication of permanent barring from TL3, but canât really tell.
It means more people will have a chance at getting to post the new cards, rather than Battle Barrel seemingly posting them BEFORE they release.
I havenât gotten silenced yet, why do they do it? What sort of posts get you silenced? Iâm trying to reach TL3 and just want to be careful.
Depends on who you are.
For some folks, you have to openly insult someone in a heinous manner or repeatedly attempt to circumnavigate the swear filter.
For others (such as myself) moderate sarcasm is enough if someone decides to get butthurt and report you lol
And thatâs exactly why I have given up trying to follow the rules. Too hard to abide by em when thereâs no consistency in the enforcement of em, so why bother trying?
This needs to be stickied. I have been a veteran poster forever and I have one bad post (a top 10 covid Im so sick relating to hearthstone cards I dint mean as derogatory) and it gets reported and I lose posting pics for a year? How is this fair? How can I share my crazy BG builds, and such. This is a travesty that needs fixing. I got banned again last week and I have no idea where I violated the CoC and they wouldnt tell me. How can I improve my posting if I dint even know where I went wrong? Bans and violations should at least include the offensive post. Blizzard is failing here and I put that in my survey they asked for after.
Trying to correct people on some âfactâ too aggressively, I guess.
Huh, I had no idea this even existed â sounds legit. I hope this gets an official response. Good luck.

Seriously though, dont call anyone, any name, no matter what if you actually want TL3. âTheres my evidence, wheres yours childâ got me banned. Tame compared to some of the comments others get away with, which goes back to my post above.
Dont get me wrong, I am the last person who expected to keep TL3, and I think most regulars agree I probably didnt deserve it in the first place, others who have lost it DO deserve it. But there is simply no consistency when it comes to enforcing CoC
And now another related issue . We all saw the spam @Wardrum threads earlier, right? Now all but one are gone. I have it on good authority that most of the thread creators have been silenced, despite the target having fun with it.
Yes, the âspamâ needed to be removed, sure, not gonna deny tht for 1 second. But given the nature of the topics, thats all it should have been! Clean up the spam! Far too many participated in the threads, having fun, to warrant any action other than thread deletion. Yes, even the instigator should have gotten off w/o any account action after it snowballed the way it did, regardless of how âinappropriateâ it was.
Hey guys, WyomingMyst here. (Iâm the forum MVP that wrote the Forum Syntax Guide.) I definitely understand the frustration about trust levels. I think the important thing that many players miss is the 50 active days out of 100 requirement (and its also the most annoying condition to fulfill). I think the Overwatch forums are more in-line with the requirements (as they are insanely active by many members of the community including myself which has over 25,000 posts and replies in that forum alone).
Understand that this specific feedback is not likely to be seen by the right people which is the Web and Forum Teams (and not so much the Hearthstone development team). As such I strongly recommend taking the time to post in the Blizzard Support Site Feedback Forums:

I hope this information helps! Cheers everyone! (^^)v
This would actually hold some weight IF those teams were even remotely active here to begin with. They arent! Reddit & Twitter or gtfo is the MO of the HS teams, and thats simply unacceptable. We have had a grand total of less than 100 official posts, from Blizzard reps, here in over a year. Thats pathetic!
This completely missed the point of WyomingMystâs response.
(Iâm the forum MVP that wrote the Forum Syntax Guide.)
I think a slight overreaction toward him/her with good intention to divert a concern to a possible correct channel.

@WyomingMyst
However, I believe it is incorrect to have forum user to go through into another channel (even thou still under Blizz) when within HS forum there should be adequate support for related concern.
As an MVP, you may have certain rights or privileges that can help to reflect the situation better than suggested, and any assistance are appreciated on the behalf of the HS forum community.
They came in, gave a useful piece of advice as to how best get the change we want to be heard by the right people, and you went off on the fact that they arenât active on the forums. Which is 100% irrelevant to both this issue, and the advice they provided.
You do know that MVPs are just regular folks, right? They donât work for Blizzard, and have about as much power to make a difference as you or I. Biting their heads off because they arenât active in a forum of a game they probably donât play is about as pointless as yelling at a passerby giving you directions because they donât live in your neighborhood.
I am unsure about the MVP status but believe they are just normal poster (like us) but with some privileges. As such, his/her replies would be the same as any of us. (reading beyond those green colors)
As suspected that he/she may not fully understood the situation at hand, but the intentions are still good-willed. As Max has better explained above.
That âholier than thouâ attitude is in your head. It certainly didnât come off as such to me.
As for point #2, we all make mistakes. Sure, WyomingMystâs assumption there was likely incorrect in the context of these forums. It doesnât invalidates the rest of their comment.
