Been meaning to ask this in the forums but keep on forgetting on getting banned.
Everytime I start a game, I get the following message from BitDefender:
Suspicious connection blocked
Feature:
Online Threat Prevention
msedge.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to cdn.blizzardwatch com (removed the period before com) We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk.
Does anyone else get this message? wondering if it’s safe to add to exceptions or somehow send a message to blizzard about it.

Thanks for the reply. more researching to be done.
Check your PC, because I’m afraid you have a Trojan.

running a scan but I doubt it as I installed bitdefender immediately after I re-installed windows 11.
also, it seems that blizzardwatch dot com is a legit site.
but my question is why is battle.net and/or hearthstone trying to connect that site?
Update: ran a full scan w/ bitdefender and it found something and removed it. How the hell it got downloaded is beyond me as I normally don’t download anything unless i’m re-installing an app (like office, steam, etc).
update: still happening after running a full scan. no clue what the hell is going on and what blizzard relationship w/ that blizzardwatch site.
U found their algo conduit bro. Pretend not to notice or else you’ll turn up missing
lol no clue. I completely un-installed battle.net, hearthstone, and word of warcraft. I then re-installed battle.net via the windows store and the re-installed both games. Before that, I cleared my cache, etc in MS edge. However, I still get it.
Did a full scan w/ bitdefender and then ms defender and it came clean as well.
blizzardwatch dot com is a legit site (yea I checked it out), so I do think it’s an expired certificate issue with the site.
EDIT:
Did a bit of a test and once I clicked the battlegrounds option in the main menu, 4 suspicious connection block showed up in bitdefender notifications. All for cdn.blizzardwatch dot com.
it does not happen when I go into World of Warcraft either. Just Hearthstone.
not going to worry about and may just let bitdefender do it’s job and continue blocking it as it only appears to happen when I go into hearthstone.
Last edit and then lock it down mods.
I did some advance stuff and blocked the web address in windows and I no longer get that suspicious connection notification in bitdefender.
