This brawl is perfect. Every aspect.
Not being able to dust or buy packs so easily makes deckbuilding for It Fun because even if lists start appearing and they will. People Will need to grind a Lot to get those.
Even people who pre ordered have problems with that unlike many here think because many epics and legendaries are strong.
If you’re a real deckbuilder and not some wannabe this is the brawl you should be playing.
The advantage for getting a pre order is really minimal.

If all you want to do is grind, its ok,
but i would havediluted the pool of cards available more so that the new expansion shine more…
I think allowing renathal would have been a detail that deckbuilders would really appreciate…
This is a personal take
I would be fine with this as I am neither for or against his existence, however I think as many player despise this card it could actually push enough people away from “repeat” attempts(paying a real resource beyond the free one) that they would have less people “spending” on it

What do you mean? They can buy a mountain of packs.
The issue with that is that he is already on standard at the momment.
People kinda deserve somewhere to run when not feeling like it.

No they can’t.
While it is a decent number they can’t get a full collection.
This isn’t really enough with the amount of powerful epics and legendaries in this set.
Unless of course you think the majority of the playerbase are whales who buy both bundles.
And even those will miss a card or two without the dust system.

I find the word “whale” a bit excessive for this game. Nobody needs a lot of money to to do anything in HS (e.g. buying those bundles you mentioned is a fraction of a month’s income of most P2W players).
Unless a “Whale” is whoever has ALL the golden cards and ALL the signature cards etc. but OK that’s irrelevant to gameplay so it’s not even important anyway.

None of being a whale is based on “need” in any way.
Whales are simply players that spend large sums on the game. Just because you don’t want something, doesn’t mean whales aren’t buying bundles and cosmetics excessively.
I strangely agree with this.
Not everyone has refined decks because they didn’t get all the cards, not all standard cards are available, and you can’t craft.
And let me tell you, there’s no titans and yogg and Reno and it’s freaking amazing.

Cards like those make me think that maybe a 2 year rotation is too long. Remember they had to rotate Genn and Baku early? I think we’d be kidding ourselves if some legendaries that came after them weren’t just as strong and/or meta warping.
Like yeah this is like their last expansion in standard, but something tells me they’ll still be very very relevant. Meanwhile I’m getting a little tired of Marin, and he’s gonna be here for another year…
In semi-related news, I just beat one of those priests who want to abuse the heck out of aman’thul (aka typical priest, not necessarily meta, but hella annoying). Between reverb and a randomly generated power chord synchronize I threw that BS right back at him (I had other lucky moments too, like randomly generating elemental inspiration), until my 200 IQ move of the day being to discover flik off aman’thul, and then destroy my own aman’thul just so that I get rid the one in his hand

They really are too powerful to stay for this long.
I’m having tons of fun playing amalgam libram paladin right now and I don’t even have the legendary or the 2nd divinity libram (which seems BROKEN right now). I’m sure it gets nerfed somehow
But I’m loving it. I don’t have to worry about any class having the ability to steal my stuff through yogg or a titan. Or any class clearing the board not triggering death rattles. It’s so fun and my deck isn’t even refined due to missing cards.
I also don’t have to worry about meta decks because people can’t craft them
I really hope this is the new standard for all future expansions.

Having fun with paladin? IMPOSSIBLE. We’re supposed to whine endlessly about how OP they are and how boring they are, and then whine some more when the devs under nerf or just don’t nerf them at all!
I suspect the level of stats pally is putting out is just keeping up with the power creep.
I’m watching MarkMkz’s video (released on youtube today) on starship druid cheating an insane amount of mana (druids? cheating mana? IMPOSSIBLE). They can put some silly things on the board too. With RNG they can last pretty dang long too, in that particular video.
On the aggro spectrum, the other day I saw Chump did draenei warrior putting some really strong pressure. And he said his deck wasn’t build as the fastest.
Related to what we were just talking about, the new cards/decks are probably going to need to be powerful to be able to compete for the spotlight against the yoggs/titans/renos

I’m happy to read this, honestly. I thought we were good when colossals left… but nope.
It can be approximately not different if you want to netdeck, if you follow a strategy of just waiting. Within 2 or 3 days I’m pretty sure you can find all kinds of netdecks with old cards or new.
Yes, I think the same and it is a good chance to turn unused arena tickets into Dark packs. I have 26 and just built some decks. Most of them made it to 4 win atleast. I am having fun and getting a lot of packs for free.

i dont know how yall amassing all those tickets… i havent used any at all for like the last year or more and all i had were 4 of them.

They just don’t play them. They probably should if they try to do F2P, and always leave 1 in the Arena on 2 losses so it’s come back for free each reset.
Well, Paladin is my 3rd most played now, likely to bump back up to 2nd after this. When Paladin is too strong, I don’t say it because I hate Paladin. I just speak truth to reality.
I haven’t seen anyone doing what I’m doing, and I’m assuming people already know the combo, but it’s basically play divinitya bunch of times for free (+6+6 every turn for free is stupid strong) but the real killer is playing your 7 mana lady and any minion left on the board because a nasty massive minion that hits face for tons of damage. It’s really scary strong.

I love the Draenei stuff right now for paladin. There are some unseen goodies. The 1 mana discover a draenei spell is SO GOOD. Goes into most decks imo.
The issue is that they can’t meta deck. Or rather, most players can’t. Because you can’t craft. You can basically only metadeck if you have opened a ton of packs and most players haven’t.
I Haven’t used any in all my hearthstone time except maybe 20 EVER. So I had 50 saved.
