Begin with player first and not monetization first

It’s why BGs succeed and the first reward track, Mercs, Duels, Twist, and now the new Arena are failing.

Mercs was underwhelming, you could go really far while playing for free, the game just isn’t interesting, especially because of its slow a** grind that even paying players have to go through
Duels had a F2P gamemode, even less monetized than BG. You didn’t need a huge collection since half of your deck was free
For Twist they just made the worst usage of the mode. The rules they introduced were most often useless in terms of gameplay. All they did was impact the deckbuilding, but not the game itself, which was the thing to push toward

Duels didn’t fail, it was removed because it wasn’t getting them money

The prevailing philosophy in business used to be that if you built a better mousetrap the world would beat a path to your door

Now, the captains of industry are simply looking to extract shareholder value from properties they had no hand in creating

Look around the United States right now. It’s one established enterprise after another being gutted by private equity leaving nothing to replace it

Players/customers are not important to them anymore. They will bleed this place dry until none of us are left to play their game and then they will move on to the next publicly traded company to strip for parts

You know Blizzard and moderator Not read this right?

Unless it’s a blatant violation and gets enough reports, they don’t care
