Be careful about buying hearthstone items with $

3 times I have asked about different bugs that affected my in game items.

Eg. Gold not received, rating system incorrect, or packs not awarded.

All 3 times I was told the support team cannot help me, and maybe the developers can help when they see my post on the forum. Or, wait and see.

Till this day, I still don’t get any reply.

And there’s the quality of life issues they have, such as permanent rope burning gamers that frustrate players with deliberately slow moves every turn, because blizzard allows it. They can simply allow restrictions on the number of rope burns or “pool” the total play time for all rounds, so that everyone has less 90s rope burn turns, and it doesn’t get so annoying to the extent that more casual players concede if they cannot expect to spend eternity on every single game. But does blizzard care enough to do anything about it? Of course you know the answer.

Think very hard if this is the kind of game you want to pay for.

many others have their rewards received later or compensated like what happened with the choose 4 ban 1 card brawl

a loooong time ago when we had a bug involving card packs they gave 2000 dust to those affected
and going by several posts ive read here and on reddit when someone collection is dusted by someone they rolled back their account

there is visual bug right now on BG but its only visual it increases but you just dont see it

the players who wait untilt he last second or slow playing ones are something youll find on any card game…(ive played several and i couldnt find a single one without them )

is odd you arent really specific about what you mean with those bugs

I like how you play the role of a fanboy by selectively saying the supposedly good things only, and sound as if the issues with this game didn’t exist at all.

But still, I guess you deserve the details even as a fanboy.

The following are my bugs which I posted on the forum. I can’t share my conversation with the support team where they asked me to post in the forum, because it’s not possible to do so.

These are the topics which I had privately posted to the support team, but said they cannot help. They said only the Developers can help me, if I post on the forum. Which I did! I came, I posted, and I waited.

The seasons went by, and the devs didn’t reply. Though, fanboys like yourself did reply.

  1. Just completed Dalaran Heist with no card packs rewarded

  2. 300 gold for active brawliseum run not awarded

  3. [Battleground] Scoring system

I have no idea how you are having these bugs - is your Hearthstone installed correctly

Hearthstone was a buggy mess when BG was released - and previously there were many reports of Android freezing and crashing - but they weren’t these bugs.

But hey, I’m part of the group where I can never get Your Month in Hearthstone emails on my main account - in spite of how many times I click the checkbox in settings.

We are aware of an issue that is preventing some players from receiving Hearthstone monthly statistics emails, even when subscribed to email updates. We investigating a resolution, but do not have an ETA.

(no ETA fix = never fix)

Well lucky you! Your bugs are unable to get you in-game

What does this have to do with being a new player?

As the prick fan boy that I am I will point out your profile being hidden so that a new player can’t determine whether you are a persistent troll of this forum.

And I see that someone answered your Dalaran Heist card pack issue, as a possible user error on your part and you blew them off.

oh you are trolling …no reason to believe you then
anyone who feels the need to post like this is someone not worth paying attention to

is possible there are some players who didnt get compensation but im not going to believe you are one of them

Macroscongas since you are a self-confessed prick fanboy, I shall only refute you by saying that my post is a cautionary example to New players who are considering devoting real money to a game that doesn’t respond, to those questions I posted.

Boreas - you echoed my exact same sentiments and warning to new players

There - new players beware.

that some like you are liars yep i checked reddit here and havent found any other complain

i did found some who were complaining about their compensation on reddit and edited their posts to add they got it !

when the tavern brawl was bugged we had many posts about it but since the compensations went live
cant find new ones

which makes really hard to trust what you say …then you started acting like a child by using the word “fanboy” and made it impossible to believe you

Right. So you asked for proof, I provided it, and you then used “but some people received it, and so you must be a liar” as your argument.
I assumed you were a logical fanboy (logical, but fanboy) when I first replied to you, but yeah it’s my fault for assuming so. AND so the next logical thing is to ignore you, fanboy, while watching you keep bumping my post up for new players.

The support staff should not say that.

I always read everything posted on the bug report forum, and I lost count of how often I have seen people sent their by support staff who are unwilling or incapable of doing their job. Always with messages similar to yours.

It IS legitimate for Support staff to ask you to create a topic on the bug report forum. This can be done for issues where they believe that QA staff and devs should be aware of it. Apparently, support staff are not supposed to escalate such issues internally, or so I’ve been told, so their only way to get QA and devs to be aware of issues is by asking customers to post about it. Weird, but okay. It’s not my company.
However, that post is ONLY in order to ensure that QA and devs are aware. Those departments will never handle compensation or correction for individual accounts. They probable don’t even have access to the servers where real account data is stored. Their task is to fix root causes so others don’t suffer from it. And occasionally, to write code to find and compensate all accounts that suffered from a broad issue (such as the 3 packs or 3 packs + 300 gold compensation recently, depending on when you logged on and whether you had an active Tavern Brawl).

In other words, after asking you to post on the forums, Customer Support staff should still continue to work on the ticket and help you find a good resolution. I don’t know whether support staff misunderstand this part of their instructions, or whether the wording they use is ambiguous and causes customers to misunderstand the reply. But I do know that posting issues on the forums is NOT the way to get individual issues addressed.

I recommend that you reopen your tickets(*), explain why the solution so far is unsatisfactory, and ask support to continue to search for a good solution. But be polite, no matter how unpolite you feel right now. If you feel like cursing and swearing, type those words until you feel better, then delete them. Ask yourself: if it were your job, whether you would work harder for a customer who curses and swears at you?

(*) For the battleground ticket, there is no need to reopen. Battleground is still in beta so bugs are to be expected. And the scoring is, at least for now, worth nothing anyway. So for this type of bugs, reporting on the forum is actually the preferred action and Support is right in sending you there.
For the Dalaran Heist ticket, you received a reply to your ticket that you never responded to. I’ve seen dozens of bugs reports from people who didn’t understand the actual reward system used for the Dalaran Heist. Not saying that it applies to you, but since you never responded I don’t know whether you even read it.
For the 300g bug, make sure to include as much details as possible when you reopen the ticket. Did you get the 3 packs for logging in during the buggy period? Do you have any screenshots or other supporting evidence to show that you had started a run and that it had not yet finished? What was the score so far in the run when the Tavern Brawl was unexpectedly closed? Etc.
Oh, and finally, when (re)opening tickets, always limit yourself to one issue per ticket. When you work in customer support, hitting send after typing a solution is so second nature that it’s all too easy to forget to address the second issue too.

I hope you get more satisfactory responses this time!

you were the one throwing the word fanboy around just because i mentioned we got the compensation

i only started treating you like troll/ liar after your second post

is really easy to dismiss anything started with those words as a lie
was your choice to post that way i didnt force you to
i never stated i didnt believe you on my first post i didnt like you avoiding mentioning exactly what bug you were talking about

but the post i quoted above destroyed all you credibility
if you dont want to be treated like troll/ liar dont act like one

about just do a quick search and you find people mentioning the BG visual bug which shows your score being 0 or going down when it should increase on the post game screen

Thanks. As a consumer, you actually asked me for more info than the devs or support team ever did, which is probably why hearthstone keeps losing players. The toss-them-around attitude is appalling but there’s really not much we can do.

As for the deleran heist, I actually cannot reply to that post due to another forum bug (characteristic of blizzard?). But the GMs and Devs do have sufficient info of the bug in my reported ticket to the support team.

As for the 300 gold, they are also aware of the details (which is why they need not ask, and neither did they bother to ask). But the fact that they play toss-them-around without any responsibility, THAT, is the true problem with the way their KPIS are designed. “Close the ticket with every reply and force that player to report to forum, so it is not my issue”. every Single time I reopen the ticket it gets closed back with a “toss”!

A cautionary tale from a huge :japanese_ogre: ?

Or are you claiming that the average record for a good gaming company is so much better than Blizzard’s? No, you are being so open ended as to make your analysis meaningless.

Marcoscongas, hush! We have entertained your barks when you self-confessed to being a prick fanboy. And now is not the time for your empty barking and going further off topic. I think we have shown you enough attention and love! Be a good boy :dog2:

I am a fanboy of prickness.

Pricks’s agenda is self serving, but highly opposed to the :japanese_ogre: agenda.

There, there.

Discard all the hurt and neglect you may have gotten since young, and know that we love you and value the insight you have given to this post. We most certainly want to give you more attention and validation to make up for all the hurt you may have gotten since young.

Take a deep breath and slowly digest this knowledge.

Now, slowly… hush… away… If we don’t reply further to you, just know that we love you and so there’s no need for you to reply further…

Thank you for showing us what has you all upset.
1 and 2 is “I didn’t get my free rewards, Wah! Make it better! Tell Blizzard to stop being mean to me!”
3 is about something that was buggy when it was introduced and maybe in 2023, it might be working right.
4 is “People don’t play the game like I do so make them stop!”

Before you start to throw around those ‘mean and evil’ words like ‘fanboy’, realize that first of all, I don’t care one whit about you and I am indifferent about this game. New players have had better luck than you and haven’t had to deal with these bugs. It sucks to be you.
All of this doesn’t really change the reality of this game. This is a game that favors those who can spend money to get a lot of cards to be able to build decent decks. So really, this is the message you should be saying: do you want to have to continue to give Blizzard their 30 pieces of silver each expansion after they introduce cards that will give people stupid advantage over every single card you own, then by all means, spend the money. If you don’t, realize that you are going to continue to gnash your teeth on a terrible game whose developers don’t care about you if you don’t pay.

That’s so true although crude. So think twice to all new players, think if you want to spend on such a game!

Let’s be clear about this. Look at the vitriol that flows freely in these forums. Everything about this game has not changed since the game came out. The community hasn’t changed, the game play hasn’t really changed.
In much the same way as <insert random “Think about the children” pleas to make the world a better place that you find on social media> doesn’t really work there, your pleas here isn’t going to change people happily chowing down on the Hearthstone pig trough, gobbling up the garbage that gets spewed from Blizzard. For every new player that gives up because this has a very definite Pay-to-Win mechanic, that gets annoyed with game mechanics that they don’t like but people abuse (roping being one of them that I gleefully admit that I abuse to the fullest extent because um, I can), there are three that pony up the cash to sit at that trough.
There are other places where your warnings would probably have more impact than here because honestly, short of your post getting necroed by someone who likes to hear himself talk, it will fade away and you will have to keep banging that drum ad nauseum.
