Battlegrounds : Overall position if multiple players die in the same round

How is position determined if multiple players die in the same round?

I just had a round where 5 players died and was wondering what factors determined if you finished 7th or 3rd in this scenario.

From what I’ve seen so far, they retain the same positions relative to each other,

So if two players die, A was 4th and B was 6th before the round started, then A will finish in 7th and B in 8th.

I think it comes down to who is in least minus health.

How did 5 of 8 players die? Oo
In a draw, noone dies. Else, 1 dies, 1 survives. How did both players of a fight die?

You’re right, should have been 4 in the same round. The 5th was already dead.

If 2 or more players lose at the same time they actually share the rating they gain/lose. I watched Dog explaining this during one of his streams.

So far based on the past 30+ matches, it is consistent for me that the relative positions during that round are maintained in the even of multiple losses. If Player A is above Player B who is above Player C, and all dies in the same round, that order is maintained in the finishing order.

This match my observation. This result in 5th place gaining MMR or 4th place losing MMR.

In my experience relative positioning is not maintained. In my last game second (me) and 3rd place died. Their rankings were then switched, so second place came 4th and 3rd place came 3rd.

I think they changed it. I saw out of order placing once.
