Battlegrounds: 4th place and LOSING rating?

I thought 4th was considered a win? This game is bad enough with being an addictive 99% RNG triggerfest without the added insult of losing ranking in top 4.

I think it depends on the total rating of the other players, although it rarely happens. Sometimes I gain Rating at 5th place.

For you to lose rating for 4th, it must have been a weak group.

It’s a bug. I posted on support ticket and they said nothing much to help, other than to ask on forum. I did that, and got no response from devs.

I played 5 matches in total. The first was on the first day of release and I lost. Subsequently, I came in 1st 1 time, top 4 3 times. With 4 wins and 1 loss, my rating went from starting 4000 to 3600+. Something is quite wrong with the first match when many players were playing - I distinctly remember that loss resulting in a loss of more than 300 points. Please investigate.
