Hi, i have played serval BGs in HS, it was fun, but i think the timer in late game is too long, i almost felt asleep while waiting. I think it should be fixed in 30-45s, waiting 150s is not fun, and i doubt anyone need that long, play a hearthstone battleground is now longer than a battleground in WOW. Also, i look forward to see more card avaliable in BG. THX
It’s only 50 seconds a turn. You see 150 means someone is spending 100 second watching animation between him and his opponent. The timer start when the last fight end.
I feel it could use a I’m done button, and when everyone pushes it, it immediately starts the round so everyone doesn’t have to wait out the timer.
All that does is lock you out of making changes while other players are still considering their play. Why would you give up the opportunity to change your mind?
Because sometimes I’m happy with my choice with 30s remaining. It would be an optional button, and everyone would have to push it. In case all your opponents are considerate players.
No doubt. But there’s always that occasional play where in the last few seconds you decide to swap places with a couple minions. I don’t think I’d want to give up that option.

Well… I think I get your point, but I don’t really like the characterization that someone who takes the full time to consider his turn is being an inconsiderate player.
Problems
- Some rounds when Combat takes too long, there is no time left for Recruit. This is unfair to count Combat as part of the timer. Especially when the timer is not even displayed during Combat, and only shown during Recruit.
- Some rounds such as the early rounds or the super late rounds, the timer is too long and Everyone has to wait when Everyone is already finished.
Proposed Solutions
- Combat to NOT count as part of timer. Everyone will wait for combat of all players to finish before their Recruit start.
- All Recruit timer to be shorten by about 10 to 15 seconds. (Do some study of this to determine exact number). This will overall speed up the game. Or just make it simple: The timer for the 1st 3 rounds is 20 seconds. Timer for rest of game is 40 seconds. This is about 60% or 70% of how much the timer is now.
And this Key solution:
- Add a Time Bank of about 90 seconds to each player for the Entire duration of the match. The Time Bank is activated only when user click Time Bank button and the Recruit Timer has ran out. The Time Bank then counts down from 90 seconds. Player can stop the Time Bank to end the round and Save the remaining time in the Time Bank for future rounds.
This solution makes it Fair for the entire match yet provides flexibility for the player. (this is similar to the chess or poker time bank)
Long timers are a side effect of lumping PC and mobile together.
Mobile will always hold the game back.
