So by your logic if you’re not caught than you’re not a cheater??

The #1 ranked NA player uses it…try to focus here it is not a secret or hidden feature.
Never said it was hidden or a secret. Again it’s just the wrong thing to do.
Well you have the right to the opinion. Just can’t go around calling people cheaters for maximizing the game to its fullest, and using the faulty timer system that they gave us.
Again, do your thing man. Don’t care.
Blizzard has not classified it as cheating, for probably a number of reasons. Some I can think of are:
They are working on a fix, so no point keeping an explicit cheating rule for something temporary.
They can’t actually identify who is doing it (besides maybe big streamers) so if they can’t enforce the rule, they won’t make it.
As players, it is fairly obvious that this is only a desirable method because some people are not bastardizing gameplay to do it. I find it similarly annoying when people bring up FOV modifications and how it lets them see more.
There is symmetry to these problems so once everyone is doing it, there ceases to be an advantage and you only do it so you don’t give someone else an advantage and now the devs have a crummy looking or executing game because they let things like this through.
It’s stupid to let people skip the combat phase like this and I hope they do fix it. They need to also fix animation speeds and connectivity problems so that tribes that need more time can be more effective and not depend on something like skipping combat.
Any reasonable person can see this is not how the game was intended to be played. Same way that the right to bare arms does not mean you should be allowed to have RPGs and sea mines
Wow, thank you so much. Where have you been all afternoon? LOL
It’s got to be a hard thing to fix, you don’t want people that have been disconnected or someone that quits the game by accident not to rejoin the game.
Everyone can do it though so not understanding the mod refrence when this requires no special download or addon. An just cause you choice to not use this method. Doesn’t mean you can blame others for using it.
An a simple fix would be a set timer regardless of battle.
I’m not blaming someone for doing something that is not against the rules and expecting them to be punished for it.
To me and others it is very clearly not an intended part of the gameplay, so you know very well what you are doing, but I would not want to see anyone banned or disciplined for doing something that has not been articulated officially as against the rules.
I don’t believe in retroactive punishment once things change if they are not seriously abhorrent and heinous.
There is no law against certain loopholes that allow you to keep income off shore to avoid taxation, it’s allowed right now, but it’s still wrong and the people who do it know it’s wrong but the law (the principle that is) simply hasn’t caught up yet.
It has not been expressly authorised by Blizzard. Until it is, forcing DC from the server can only be considered cheating under their EULA. Get the authorisation. Until such a time it is literally breaking the EULA as its written, and is grounds for bans. You cant argue that.
I wish I had said this before, thank you for staying what I couldn’t. This has been my whole stance on this issue, it’s just the wrong thing to do whether Blizzard punishes you are not. Doing small things like not taken advantage of weird exploits is better the game and the community that plays it. So everyone should do their part to make the playing field are fair as possible.
Simple deduction suggests that the absence of immediate action indicates the absence of cheating.
Again, I don’t and haven’t done this, but with how known the issue is there would have been something if it was considered cheating.
Why the f@#$ am I debating this anymore. I need help as much as you do.
Expressed authorisation. Lack of action is not expressed authorisation, expressed authorisation is a Blizzard rep saying “yes this is OK.”
We are not the ones trying to play the moral high ground card. Especially with a greedy company that treats its “esport” players this badly.
Lets BE VERY CLEAR NOW: IT IS cheating, otherwise the streamers who play tournaments would do this DURING the tournaments… but they don’t, in fact NONE of them do, and they surely know it IS possible… makes you wonder WHY, doesn’t it?
U can’t blame the players for using an exploit that should be a game mechanic.
Yes, you can. You don’t get to decide what should and shouldn’t be a game mechanic, you’re not an employee.
I think the real solution is to always have a set amount of time per round, and not let people start playing while others are sitting through ridiculously over the top minion generation that adds dozens of hits to a round of combat. Just freeze the people for a bit when they get out first.
If u do that then the game will be really slow waiting 3 mins for the next round ust cuz the other player device is weaker, that’s why skipping battle phase should be a game mechanic.
Even though u sugested one yourself? I see a little bit of hypocrisy here.
That’s not a real factor. The real factors are some boards take longer to execute because there are simply more animations to go through (for example deathrattles and reborn).
It shouldn’t, because you are skipping the actual game itself and if that’s a viable strategy it means nothing about your minion placement matters more than the extra seconds you get to buff your board. No game mechanic should encourage one dimensional playstyles like that.
