This has happened several times. The update will not complete It gives a blizzard error but nothing suggested fixes the issue. I have to completely reinstall both battle.net and wow. This is a horrible experience. Please fix whatever is causing this when updates run.

If you’re unable to update the game to the latest patch, you can try the following steps:
- restart your PC
- connect to a different internet
- disable any anti-virus software
- create an admin account to resolve any permission issue

This does not fix the issue. No other software installer (ie. Steam)(Epic) etc has this issue. I will address each bullet.
-restart (attempted, doesn’t fix the issue)
-Internet (attempted, doesn’t fix the issue)
-disable AV (attempted, doesn’t fix the issue and is horrible advice)
-create Admin (Doesn’t fix the issue. I am an admin and there is no file permissions issue for the installation but I do suspect there is a file issue for the updater that Blizzard needs to fix)
Blizzard needs to evaluate the Battle net software, specifically the WoW update installer, to see where the failures are. I see years of posts saying people have these issues and a handful of fixes but few if any reports that it worked. Instead, most people end up deleting and reinstalling repeatedly. We are customers and a customer complaint should be addressed not bandaid fixed constantly.
