Balance Patch Next Week

true and shaman class identity is not about removal and there was no trade off to it (overload).

The nerf was 100% justified. I sure hope the FITB control priest style never comes back.

Just go and eat your humble pie. There’s lots of it to go round haha.

Why aren’t you changing questline hunter and warrior??? They are stupid OP

Yes please omg yes please they need to be banned

As a lover of control priest I think the only change they need to make to quests is giving the final reward at the end of the completion turn. They don’t need to nerf mage and warrior quest beyond this.

It would feel better to give the other person a chance to use Mutan as a way to interact with the quest win condition. Sometimes you don’t hit it sometimes you don’t draw Mutan. The mage matchup is still almost autolose due to ignite but you give the other person a hint of agency on the games outcome and that will feel 100% better even if it’s just for feels.

i have no idea what you are trying to say

is it in any way related to quest mage populaty dropping drasticaky ? you know it isnt the most popular deck right now …
so another reason to nerf was gone … isnt broken and isnt the most popular deck either
so without a nerf to quest warrior ( the most played deck right now )the nerf to mage doesnt make any sense

is that what you are talking about ?

You (among many others) are looking at nerfs in a way “what we need or what we ask for” and then deduce the nerfs and buffs around this premise.

Though you are completely missing a point “what devs want”.

I have seen it mentioned like 1 or maaaaybe 2 times this nerf to mage (and some nerfs in the past) are maybe done because devs wanted that change. Hell they have even mentioned it in the past when talking about Deck of Lunacy for example and how they havent predicted this card to be so consistent (basically they have intended for it to be yet another meme legendary for mage) so they are nerfing it because it doesnt follow their plan for mage.

And right now the quest mage could have been hit for sole reason of mini set trying to push big spell mage support while devs realized its even worse than quest mage so it wouldnt seen any play.
So by hitting the quest mage could have been their way to push people to try big spell mage (in meta where games end on turn 7-8…).

Other toxic cards are still in the game.

Glide.
Celestial Alignment / Anacondra
Octobot/field Contact
Pirate charge

I wonder what developer think when they create those toxic cards.

They surely like solitaire mode.

Look we get this every time, almost every expansion in fact. It goes something like this:

Forum topic title: ‘Mage needs nerf’ (+ perfectly valid reasons given for why it does)

Discussion thread: “No it doesn’t”

3 weeks later: ‘Patch notes - mage gets nerfed’.

Please update Hunter’s quest, in the last stage: your heroic power costs 1 and does 2 damage, refreshes for every spell used.

Hunter and Warrior are the two most powerful at the moment. The Warrior is very difficult to win, but it is possible… The Odd Hunter with quest is impossible to win. Seeing Blizzard ignore this fact is disheartening. Today when I see an Odd Quest hunter, I give up on the match.

Yep. It was a control tool that was being used in aggro decks at the time.

where is the NERF TO SMITE?? YOU HALL OF FAME LEROYY THEN PRINT SMITE? ARE YOU SCHIZOPHRENIC?

I am sorry, the devs would not know what balance is if it bit them. The last year they have been on an extended kegger.

there is no balance patch next week! why bump this thread ???

Probably to remind me that I screwed up and forgot to dust sorcerers gambit and 2 garrots for full dust due to my preoccupation with a new game (mobile legends) on my alternate account.

Certainly a sign to give up that alternate account anyway as for the first time I could not reach legend in that account due to Blizz constant banning and changing of released cards. With the new game I am on, don’t think I have time to manage both accounts on HS anyway.
