This is the most important message to those that weā€™re here day 1.

You remember that day Bowser? I do. I remember how excited people weā€™re about the new boards. An how the very people who frequent the original board weā€™re willing to let the past go for more Dev communication here.

Iā€™m not here to rub in they didnā€™t. But to thank everyone who did contribute an continues to contribute here. Negative or positive, itā€™s been fun. An as far as Iā€™m concerned, we have Devs here. They donā€™t have blue text, an they need no mention. They know who. An Iā€™ll continue to thank them in silence.

Most of these things are links from other places - Reddit, Ooc, etc.

The reverse should be happening - the posts on Reddit/Ooc/etc should link back to here but that isnā€™t the case.

I honestly think theyā€™re just waiting for participants to give up and when they have enough reason, shut down the forum.

There used to be. Jesse was in the process of implementing a massive overhaul to how Blizzard CM would interact with the forums.

Then he got fired because Kotick thought that record profits werenā€™t record enough.

Weā€™re still here, whoever you are whoā€™s still around, yet not around.

The reason the Hearthstone Reddit gets that much traffic is specifically because it is where the Developers ā€˜hang outā€™. If the Developers hung out in this forum then it would get that kind of traffic (or at least a lot more than now).

Chicken/Egg situation? Probably - but the responsibility is on the Developers to promote this forum and draw traffic to it ā€¦ not the other way around. If the Developers canā€™t even be bothered to make a single post here in the past 6+ months (when they could EASILY be making a few Blue posts here every day) then that tells the world that they donā€™t give a crap about the forum and neither should you.

Jesse commitment was much appreciated by most on this forum.

If a company have a good operational system, even when a position is vacated, the operations/plans resume.

It is obvious things is as intended by site owner as of current.

I believe many have already done so.

Thought Sharing:
Blizz has shown it has many problems within in recent years. Those problems cascade down to lower levels. The way this forum operates shows the fundamental problems the company currently has and as long the root of the problem does not get resolved, the forum will showcase existing issues we see recurring.

I find it interesting that this place is a bad match for people like me who actually enjoy playing this game.

Iā€™m only interested in Hearthstone as a game. And I still like playing it.

This forum has a lot of graybeards (ā€œthink killjoysā€) that view Hearthstone as something other than a game (at this point).

Maybe they view it as a community or as a group of friends/acquaintences/enemies or some sort of stature thing (ā€œIā€™ve been playing since betaā€ yada yada), but that isnā€™t a game.

And that seems like a bit of a disconnect.

Hearthstone is going to get judged by how well it performs as a game.

And having extra needs like feelings or needing to be stroked or a favorite employee or a certain kind of developer interaction using a specific web site address (here) in a web browser and not any other specific web site address (Reddit or somewhere) ā€¦

ā€¦ itā€™s just going to be disappointing for those with those needs.

And it is a little messed up, to be quite honest.

/One opinion from an outside the insane asylum point-of-view

A forum exist for the facilitation of discussion on certain topics.
Since this Forum is owned by Blizz, then they hold certain responsibilities.
It is ok if they make known how this forum should operate, but not ok when they say something here and does not fulfill/ or explain why not fulfilled.

There are quite a few posters here that are(was) quite passionate with Blizz games, and HS in respect here.

The fundamental needs that some of these posters (I believe) seeks nothing much except the basic of how games forum should be run by an established company. If we look across different games by Blizzard and itsā€™ game forum, we can see how each is very different from each other.

In that respect, we may gain a better picture of the OP message.

why throw resources with the CS moderation on this place if youā€™re going to be more active on reddit devs?

itā€™s the same bs with your other games tooā€¦ I want to comment what I really think but itā€™s hard to breaking the ToS or people taking it very personal

For me, its not about not (just) about wants & needs, but expectations based on previous comments not being lived up to. Why shouldnt I be disappointed in their treatment of these forums when they continually make the same mistakes? Mistakes they have acknowledged in the past.

Bobby Kotick needed a chair reupholstered.

Yeah i can understand the appreciation part, if people are not bothered to reply it might seem they donā€™t appreciate it.
I do even though i donā€™t always reply i enjoy reading other peoples ideas that sprung forward from such thread.

And without the neccesary tools the ā€˜ā€˜good/positiveā€™ā€™ threads can feel like a waste indeed, its a shame if someone makes a thoughtout thread for users to engage with just to see it go to the bottom of the forum within an hour because people were to focused on the 20 different topics about which class or deck is the worst.
