This is not mana cheat. The crystals are not instantly awarded. They have to either build it up over 20 turns, or speed up the process with their hero power. In addition, this is anti-synergistic with Celestial Alignment, if they play it, they will have to build back up to the 20 mana crystals all over again. In addition, if all cards cost 1, why do you need 20 mana crystals? All that lets them do are some interesting combos.
People don’t complain about druid for a reason: it’s good, but it’s not nearly as overpowered as you think.
mana cheat?
the only 1 i remember right now is the dormant minion aligment and that one works for both players
You must’ve missed out on a LOT of HS forum posts where the hate on druid was huge … Jade druid ? Savage roar+ OG force of nature ? Spiteful druid ? etc … always been a lot of druid complaints , just less recently because its in a good place and not too OP
I think it will be very strong in a celestial allignment deck.
You will pay 1 mana to gain 5 armor, draw 1 card and add an heropower that helps you ramp. The 20 mana at that point won’t matter much, but it can be used as a way to cycle cards and draw.
Still fairer than Anacondra into a 0 mana deck
I was assuming you played it before Alignment. But if you did play it after, it actually costs 0, since part of the battlecry gives you a full mana crystal. So you pay the 1 mana, and instantly get it back.
it may be played on turn 5 to play immediately allignment on turn 6.
The hero only provides upsides, so I think it will be a “must have” card for probably any druid deck from now on.
The only decks that probably don’t want to play it, are aggro/token druid and quest druid
Just cry for the best class in the game!!
This is actually funny.
Druid has the cards to keep our mana hostage and increase his and on the other side we have a self inflicting Warlock who gets rewarded with super healing and then inflicts his damage back to us.
Lets not forget about Mages infinite ignite spells.
We play in an interesting times…
It will be amusing to see this in Wild be used in combination with Twig of the World Tree. But at the same time, they’re both Legendaries, making it difficult to actually have both of them.
Just one word:
WILD
you’re just a cutey aren’t ya
