Apprenticeship - no quests or experience gain at level 7

Hello.
Just started and I have no idea if I’m doing anything wrong.

i’m following the apprenticeship and reached level 7, my hunter is level 5. in the quest log I still need to complete 2 t hings:
open 5 packs( 4/5) and empty your hand and then win.

for multiple matches now however when I win after emptying my hand at least once or even emptying it on the turn I win I don’t get the quest to complete.
on top of that winning matches does not seem to give me any experience.

I tried logging out and in, nothing no updates, etc.
playing the game on mobile, rather then desktop, nothing.

I find reports of there being a bug currently but all these speak of the xp,etc. updating after logging out and in.

am I doing something wrong or is this stuff broken?

Yeah same here, it seems that everyone who is new or just created a new account has this issue, i’m so pissed cuz i just got into Hearthstone again last week and wanted to try out a new deck, now i can’t even progress further in the apprentice track, i don’t know what is going on with Blizzard but they need to fix their game.

Also having this issue and very frustrated! I know I could skip apprentice but I’d like to get through it!

This is a current bug. They are working on it.
